    2002 Nissan Sentra - GXE (M5)

    Pros: 7 speaker stereo

    Cons: nothing

Advice: After test driving a new Toyota Corolla and/or Honda Civic - the new Nissan Sentra is BY FAR the BEST CAR of the Corolla and Civic put together! You get more BANG for your buck with the Nissan Sentra.

The Nissan Sentra was redesigned a couple years ago and is now a better competitor for the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic. I still have my '94 Corolla with 130,000 miles on it because it's been so reliable. But after researching and test driving all three newer models of Toyota, Honda and Nissan I found I was still getting a very reliable vehicle with the Nissan Sentra for far less than Toyota AND the Sentra has LOTS more extras and better comfort overall.

    2002 Hyundai Elantra - (M5) Sedan

Pros: The many convenience and safety features of the car.

Cons: The poor quality of the fit for interior trim and components has been an onging problem.

Advice: Test drive and exam the vehicle you intend to buy. Do not accept a substitute.

The 2.0 liter engine delivers plenty of power, but the transmission seems unable to find the right gear at speeds lower than highway cruising.

    2002 Honda Accord - 2.3 LX (M5) Sedan

Pros: Look, feel, value, and re-sale value.

    Cons: blind spot

Advice: Do research and shopping online. I hate dealing with lying salesmen!

Great! Loved the look and feel. Only negative: A design flaw in the Accord since this design introduced (1998-2002) which is it's huge rear blind-spot on both sides. Talked with other owners and all agree. Just be a little extra careful when getting over and you'll get used to it.

    2002 Honda Accord - 2.3 SE (A4) Coupe

    Pros: sound system

    Cons: hard seats

Advice: Buy a seat cushion and GO!

I have been 2,000 miles & so far so good. The ride is smooth. The car corners and stops very well. The 4 cylinder has plenty of pick up for me. MPG so far is 27-30 mpg highway and city. The fit & finish are perfect outside and inside. No blemishes of any type. The only complaints I have are what I feel are design flaws. 1)It is very hard to get into the back seat. Once you get in there is lots of room but getting there is a real pain. How about a 2 inch longer door? 2)The trunk is hard to access b/c the threshold is so high. 3) Seats are hard. Tiring on the buttocks after a long day. This model has been out for 4 years. You would think these would have been corrected. Overall I feel great about this car. My 4th Honda. All have been great cars, wonderful resale value.

    2002 Toyota Camry - LE (M5)

    Pros: Quality

    Cons: What's not to like?

Advice: Drive others first; then you will love this even more

Quiet (not only is the engine quiet but there is a lack of wind or road noise), very comfortable driver seat, roomy interior and trunk , excellent ride, excellent sound system, great ergonomics, great gas mileage. I am talking about the 4 cylinder LE model which I bought. 157 horsepower gives adequate acceleration unless you are the race driver type. They also offer a 6 cylinder if you are so inclined.
