Sleeker than ever, the full-size 2014 MKS luxury sedan from Lincoln Motor Company is available with two V-6 engines - a 3.7 liter V6 four wheel drive, and 3.5 liter EcoBoost V-6 all-wheel drive that starts at $47,415. The new MKS integrates classic styling cues in the split grille into a more modern, flowing body line, and eye-brow raising exterior paint options such as "Dark Side Metallic."
BMW 7 Series
If German performance is more your Dad's thing, then the BMW 7 Series luxury sedan should be on the top of his list. He will appreciate the Münich engineers meticulous attention to detail coupled with BMW's more muscular modern appearance. The x-Drive all-wheel drive system is now available on the 740Li models along with the 8-speed automatic transmission.
2013 Honda Civic Sedan
The Honda Civic sedan is not only one of the most popular small cars, it is also one of the safest cars on the market. A 5-speed manual on the base model will please any tuner father fond of manual transmissions; the Civic LX sedan with 4-cylinder, 140 horsepower engine zips this family-friendly car around town starting $18,165, with higher automatic and 6-speed transmissions available.
Hyundai has some sharp styling in the taut lines of the second-generation Azera. It claims better fuel efficiency - 30 mpg with the V-6 engine - than competitors in its segment, without scrimping on the inside; heated leather seats in front and back, a panoramic sunroof, and rear-passenger sunshades.
Sexy Cars for the Modern Dad
Aston Martin Rapide
At the absolute hight of luxury, the four-door Rapide is gorgeous. Never mind the powerful 6 liter V-12 engine, a leather-wrapped interior with sculpted sport seats, zoned air conditioning and even an umbrella in the trunk is a cushy dream for any father.
A relative newcomer to the four-door sedan segment, Volkwagen's CC starts at $30,965, but has luxury features like leather-wrapped steering wheel and chrome trim. Upgrade to the R-Line for paddle shifters and a navigation system or the 2.0T Lux for a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Ford's full-size sedan is big and beefy, and modified versions of the Taurus-SHO are crowd favorites at DUB showcases. The 2014 version has better fuel economy - 32 mpg highway - and a Lane-Keeping system in the Taurus Limited and Taurus SHO, along with MyFord Touch LCD screens.
Kia has really upped their game in the last five years, and it shows with the Kia Optima. With a Germany-based design team, the mid-sized sedan transcends ubiquitous econo-box looks with a little more muscle in the lines, and high-end touches like push-button ignition, newly designed leather seats in the SX-T trim level, and illuminated cup holders.
This is not your grandfather's Buick; the great-looking full-size luxury sedan comes standard with remote start, leather-wrapped steering, and OnStar technology. However, the LaCrosse's sculpted exterior belies a quiet ride that Dad - and Grandpa - would surely appreciate.
The Audi A8 is a head-turner. Curvier than its German competitors, the A8 comes packed with interior leather luxury and technical amenities such as mobile wi-fi, thermal imaging technology to enhance night vision, and Audi's signature LED headlamps.
Acura ILX Hybrid
Acura shows that a luxury sedan can be eco-conscious as well with the ILX Hybrid. Producing 111 horsepower, the 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor powers Acura's popular luxury sports sedan.
The latest addition to the Kia line up, the Cadenza debuted in January of 2013 at the Detroit North American International Auto Show. Unique in that it is offered only in one trim level - Permium - the Cadenza is packed with standard features like a rear-view camera and heated leather seats. A Luxury or Technology package can be added to the already luxurious, high tech Cadenza.
Since its 2012 debut in Detroit, the visually stunning and high-tech Ford Fusion mid-sized sedan has continued to impress. While not a muscle car, it's still beefy enough to inspire a slew of modified aftermarket iterations. Shown here in the Hybrid version, it's been gaining market share over competing hybrid vehicles.
Dodge Charger SRT8
Classic muscle car meets modern performance; the four door coupe brought back the Super Bee and has a super-strong 6.4 liter HEMI V-8 with a top speed of 175 mph. The modern-day Charger lives up to its classic namesake.
Infiniti's elegant lines are the signature of the luxury M line. The M56 comes with a standard 7-speed automatic transmission with a 5.6 liter V8 engine under the hood. Available in rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, the aerodynamic mid-size sedan comes standard with Xenon headlights and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
Most recently seen in commercials with designer John Varvatos and Iggy Pop, there is no mistaking the Chrysler 300's unique silhouette. With "Imported from Detroit" street cred, the sedan starts at $29,845 and includes leather seats and a V-6 engine. Upgrade to the 300S for the HEMI V-8, or the John Varvatos Luxury edition in black for special Titanium-fnish grille. Passenger-side Iggy Pop not included.

The midsize Lincoln MKZ base sedan is now the same price as the MKZ Hybrid. What's more, the Hybrid gives you flowers everyday on the dash screen. LED headllamps and a MyLIncoln 8-inch touch screen come standard in both versions of the 4-door.
Shown here as the Honda Accord EX-L V-6 sedan, the Accord is another family-friendly four-door. While this particular trim level and V-6 engine combination starts at $30,070, Accord sedans can start as low as $21,680.
Nissan Altima Sedan
The fifth-generation Nissan Altima sedan has a new aerodynamic design with added amenities such as Blind Spot Warning and a Land Departure Warning. It's the same size as the previous generation Altima, but is lighter and quieter.
Acura is offering a special edition TL with a keyless access. The front-wheel drive four-door also features an Ebony interior and stitched to match the exterior color.
Toyota's graceful flagship sedan is also available as a hybrid. Designed and manufactured in the US, the new Avalon is lower with better aerodynamics - translating into better fuel efficiency.
Cadillac continues to live up to its name in the luxury segment; spacious with a 14-speaker Bose Studio Surround sound system. The aggressive grille leaves no question to the XTS's origins.
Lexus LS 460
The Lexus LS 460 grille just looks mean, in a good way. Strong lines lead back from the hood over a sleek body; some of the Luxury options include Shiatsu massage and an Ottoman seating package.
With an award-winning design director in Ian Callum, Jaguar design is held in high regard; and classic Jags are highly collected. The ultra-modern XJR unveiled at the 2013 New York Auto Show incorporates performance - capable of zero to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds - while not missing a stylish beat.
