    2004 Scion xB - (M5)

    Pros: style

    Cons: Engine

Advice: wait till they improve on the engine.

Purchased approx 6 months ago. My main complaint is with the engine. It is very under powered. Drive this vehicle on the frwy before purchasing. The engine revs above 4000 rpm in 5th gear at 80 mph (normal san diego frwy driving)

    2004 Scion xB - (M5)

    Pros: Interior volume

Cons: not much get up and go

Advice: get a manual transmission and upgrade!

I went on a drive with this vehicle and the only complaint I have is that it lacks a little power. I love it other than that. It is the best thing to happen to college and highschool students since the Honda Civic. If I could I would buy 3 of them. The design and quality of this vehicle is the true selling point. I would have given the XB at least 150 horse power, but there are ways of getting there that truely make the drive at that range (horse power) worth the additional money. GET THIS CAR!!!!

    2004 Scion xB - (M5)

Pros: 5 speed performance and surefooted handling

Cons: lack of 4WD that would make it beat the Element hands down

    Advice: Get 5-speed...u'll need it

van-like height and roominess, but extremely surefooted on tight curves like the compact it really is. What ROOM it has! I also liked the Element's versatility, but the xB has more for the $$. The 5 speed trans maximizes the meager 108 hp engine = a must for this model. Get auto and you will get sluggish.

Advice: Test drive it several times- you will like it more and more with each test.

    2004 Scion xB - (M5)

    Pros: The body style.

Cons: needs a little more power for steep hills.

Advice: Keep an open mind about its boxy looks. It grows on you.

I must admit I was skeptical. I had never seen anything like it. I stumbled upon this car as I was browsing the Toyota dealership looking for a new fuel friendly vehicle for my daily commute. After test driving the Scion XB I was hooked. Although Toyota is attempting to target the younger generation, I see in it's future, baby boomers hauling grocery bags and grass seed. It has the perfect mix of style and utility with a sticker price the likes of which I have never seen on a car so wonderfully equiped. My search is over. I have found a unique, fuel efficient vehicle that is comfortable, roomy, and cranks out fantastic sound from the pioneer cd player (standard) that comforts me on my long and lonely 32 mile journey to work in the city.

    2004 Scion xB - (M5)

    Pros: the body

    Cons: horsepower

    Advice: test drive it

The Scion XB is a great car for all ages. With its lack of power, the Scion more that makes up for it with its stylish body and most enjoyable ride. You get many heads turning as you drive down main st. I would recommend this car to anyone who is willing to take the negative comment along with the bad, and also for those who just want to have fun.
