2005 Scion xA - (A4)
This is a great commuter car since the gas mileage is good, but not great for such a small car. It lacked power when it comes to continuous hill climbing road trips. Overall the handling is great with sports suspension that came original equipped, rather impressive. It's reliable for sure, not a surprise since it's a Toyota. I still would recommend this car to friends, but probably a manual transmission so the lack of power is not going to be so noticeable.

Hard to beat!
Pros: room for all
Cons: seats/ride
Over all you can't fault much. Three negatives.... Headlights have been blinding people since day one and can't be adjusted low enough. Seats are WAY TO SHORT in the butt. Only your butt and the top 3rd of your thigh is on any cushion. Rides like a buckboard on the highway.... no suspension travel, stiff springs, tires have no sidewalls to cushion ride. Mileage and performance is spectacular.... just don't plan any long trips. (50+ miles)- Recommend this vehicle to a friend? Yes

A fantastic Vehicle
Pros: Space!!!!!!!
Cons: When you are used to a lot of power , you have to adjust. but for what the XB its hard to complain.
The first time that I sat in the Scion XB It was during the gas crisis. I had just gotten rid of my mini-van . I needed to downsize but I also wanted space . After trying on so many cars I could not believe how amazing it was to sit in the XB I knew I had to have it. Interior space is unbelievable , gas mileage is great, It's unique look turns heads, truly dependable ... A fantastic vehicle!!!!- Recommend this vehicle to a friend? Yes

Looks small, but big design
Pros: the different look
Cons: lack of room in rear
The box look of these models seem like they'd be small, but inside their is lots of room for seating. They only lack in the rear area, so packing anything is a chore. It's lacking on power, but makes up for it with gas mileage. Plus the driver assist features (Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Skid Warning) may keep it stuck to the road, but take away from any chance at power. Despite the low ground clearance, living in the Midwest it seems to get around good as I've only got it stuck in snow twice. Overall a great vehicle for the price, if you want something different for a family.- Recommend this vehicle to a friend? Yes

2011 Scion xB
Very Satisfied - Turns Heads
Pros: Head room, rear seat leg room, large doors
Cons: No engine temperature indicator. Factory base wheels.
Yea, I know. Not everyone likes a 'toaster', but this is a great car! (even for mid-life crisis). My 2011 is getting 29-30mpg mixed driving. Added custom wheels and a Category II hitch for some very light hauling. Mine is new color 'Army Rock' which is an Army brown.- Recommend this vehicle to a friend? Yes
