Pros: AWD sensors - knowing I'm safe.
Cons: Seats aren't really comfortable for long trips.I went from a VW Jetta to owning the Vue. Although the seats aren't as comfortable as my Jetta's, it has been an extremely reliable car. Very roomy, can handle 5 people, 2 dogs and camping gear very well. AWD is great in snow/rain, etc. Definitely a good buy.
Pros: plastic body panels
Cons: suspension componentsgreat vehicle, engine and transmission. Unfortunately, the GM suspension is typically bad: by 50K miles - replaced front hubs/wheel bearings, front strut mounts, and lower control arm bushings. All door gaskets are decaying and cracked. Complained to dealer who said we were lucky because most Equinox and Vues had these issues around 40K miles....of course, just after warrantee ran out. Luv the plastic body panels, still looks like new.
Pros: I can't think of one.
Advice: I wouldn't buy this carWe had to replace the fuel pump twice in 1 month. It didn't even have 200 miles on it. The vehicle is very 'squeaky'. At times it sounds like there are birds chirping in your car. The transmission also went out and found out that nobody would work on it because it was very expensive. The car is uncomfortable. Not very happy with purchase. Will never buy again.
Pros: The V6 motor (which was developed by Honda), dent free plastic exterior panels
Cons: constant problems, poor quality plastic interior
Advice: don't do itHave had a number of problems with the drive train components on this vehicle. Has been back for repair for such things as water leaking from dome light, vibrations, and wind noise. Now it is wearing out rear tires although they tell me the 4 wheel alignment is OK. Probably the worst vehicle I have ever owned. Do not buy one!
Pros: 250 HP
Cons: Noisy inside. Side mirrors control have no night light.
Advice: I am going back to FORD'sQuick SUV. Noisy inside. Gas milage is okay.
Pros: The engine!
Advice: It is overall a nice vehicle... my opinion may not be the same as others....I actually own this vehicle. The reason I bought it was for the 250hp Honda engine. I was not disappointed! It is as smooth as butter, and power galore. Overall, I like my VUE, but It is frustrating to see American vehicles still coming up short. The interior is a joke. It is well laid out, and ergonomic, but the materials used is junk. The door armrest handles feel like they are going to fall apart whenever I touch them. They creak and groan like a wicker basket. Annoying! The climate control knobs feel like they are going to snap off when you use them. The grey, knobby, hard plastic door panels, and cargo area is junk. The handle that operates the passenger seat doesnt work very well, and is flimsy, and feels like its going to snap off. The rear seat config is retarded. The split is 70/30 with the 30% on the passenger side, so that with the front seat folded flat, you cant even get anything of size on that side without folding both rear seats down. The releases are also on the back, where you can barely reach them. The Equinox figured it out, and has a 60/40 config, and the seat release is on the top of the seatback like 99.9% of every other vehicle on the planet. I find it an insult to American car makers, when a Kia has a much better quality interior than the $25,000 Vue I bought. Do these guys even look at the competition?? I would go on, but I only have 500 words. Although I have been a little harsh, It is still overall a good value. If it didnt have the Honda motor in it, I would guarantee my tune would be much different.
Pros: The get up and go.
Cons: The reliability and all the rattles.
Advice: Look at a different car.I originaly liked the vue until we had two rear diferencials, the rear suspension link, the front stablizer bars replaced and it rattles all the time when you go over bumps. It only has 38,000 miles on it. It has very good get up and go. I would never buy another one.
