Great 'European' Car sold by an American Company
Pros: Styling
Cons: Needs more ponies
The Astra is a European car made by Opel/Vauxhall that is re-badged as a Saturn. Although the controls take a bit of getting use to, it is loaded with features, handles great, and has been reliable. I average 28 mpg on regular gas, have leather interior/heated seats, and a full length moon roof. Only sad part is that the acceleration is a bit underpowered but with superb handling, great styling and excellent braking, it is a pleasure to drive

2007 Saturn ION

A Rare Jewel
Pros: rear decklid wing
Cons: No recaro seats for the 07 model only
I own a Saturn Ion Redline, supercharged. This is the most fun car I have ever owned! It's great on gas with a 4 cylinder, but can really go when you step on it with about 285 HP. I have done some mods to it, and being made of 'plastic' its a light car so together that equals one fun car to drive!! Its also a rare car with only 6000 produced over a 4 year period. I actually own 2 of them! I get alot of attention in it, mostly 'That's a SATURN??????'

2007 Saturn Sky - Red Line
Submitted on 6/15/2008 6:36:51 AM- Summary
Pros: Power.Style.Fuel Economy.Price.
Cons: Storage space, but who cares this car is not meant for hauling.
Advice: Test drive it, and you'll see that Christian Wardlaw is an idiot. The car is awsome.
The Saturn Sky is hands down, the best value for your dollar if your looking to purchase a fun, reliable, affordable, stylish coupe. I have had my redline for six months now, 15,000 kms and have had NO problems with the car. Power is great, its tremedous on fuel, and of course, the car is gorgeous. The auther of this article has an apparent bias towards import manufacturers that can be found in many of his statements, so disregard his review. I test drove the Honda S2000 and the Mazda MX-5, both of which could not stack up. Honda - too expensive for what you get, engine rev's ridiculously high and seems to do nothing with the high rpm. Mazda - underpowered, unrefined and ugly. I didnt get 'that feeling' with the Honda/Mazda. My advice, test drive all your potential rides and you'll see the Saturn is for you.

Pros: Looks
Cons: Shifter
Advice: Get the Red Line, not the standard model. The extra HP is a great thrill
Very nice car. Reliable and fun to drive. Shifter could be tighter.

2007 Saturn ION - 2 (A4) Sedan
Submitted on 4/26/2007 3:39:02 PM- Summary
Pros: Dent-resistant body paneling
Cons: Odor coming from vents
Advice: Buy a Honda
I purchased a 2007 Ion 2 brand new. I like the way it handles and find it comfortable to drive because I am a petite woman. But overall I regret my purchase because I've had too many service appointments for a new vehicle. The brakes and two tires have been replaced, a power window came off the track, the dash has been taken apart due to rattling, the fan motor makes a ticking sound that they say cannot be replaced, and now I have a strange odor coming from the vents; I've been told that it is the HEPA filter. I owned a Saturn before, but this one is not good.

Good Euro 5 door hatch
Pros: leather seats, one touch power windows...
Cons: GM killed the brand...never build an image.
GM says that European version was not modified for US market. I have hard time believing that...I have rented diesel version overseas and it felt more solid... Overall, gear looking, very practical and less expensive VW Golf alternative. Great features for its class...
