A fan of both puppies and pickups, country music star Miranda Lambert is bringing both interests together by auctioning a custom 2015 Ram 1500 to help support her MuttNation Foundation—"a donation-supported organization working to end pet suffering and homelessness in the U.S. and abroad.”

In fact, the auction is live now, with folks able to visit www.MuttNationFoundation.com through November 15 to bid on the truck. And this is no run-of-the-mill Ram, either. It's a 2015 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn that comes standard with premium features like:

  • Uconnect infotainment and connectivity technology with an 8.4-inch screen, Voice Command, Bluetooth, navigation, a media hub with USB/SD/Aux inputs, and premium nine-speaker audio (including a subwoofer),
  • Interior conveniences such as a rear-view camera, dual-zone automatic temperature control, a full-length floor console, power-adjustable pedals (with memory) and LED cabin lighting
  • 5.7 liters worth of HEMI power, good for 395 hp, 410 lb.-ft. of torque and a top towing mark of 9,900 lbs.

Also, beyond the custom 2015 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn, the auction offers signed guitars and CDs, as well as VIP tickets to a 2015 concert with the chance to meet Lambert for a pre-show cocktail.

Said Lambert: “I have lived my entire life surrounded by trucks even to this day.  I have also written songs that mention trucks, so I am so happy to be partnering with Ram. And I'm thankful for their generosity in allowing me to auction off a Ram Laramie Longhorn for MuttNation Foundation. It's a cause so close to my heart! I'm looking forward to more exciting news with Ram Trucks in 2015.”

So should other folks, too, since the new "Ram-bert" relationship is a work in progress that "will continue to evolve" over the next calendar year, according to the brand.

Added Robert Hegbloom, president and CEO of the Ram Truck brand: “Miranda Lambert and Ram Truck are a perfect fit. She values hard work, courage and lives her life to the fullest—the same characteristics that our brand celebrates in our owners.”
