When Porsche decides to build a supercar, they go all out with it. The 959 featured a twin-turbocharged flat-six with all-wheel drive. The Carrera GT was powered by a 5.7L V10 engine and had a carbon fiber monocoque and subframe to help keep weight down. Now with their next supercar, the 918 Spyder, Porsche is pushing the boundaries of what a hybrid powertrain can do. We had the chance to talk with the project leader of the 918 Spyder, Dr. Frank Walliser and get some insight into the next Porsche supercar.
