2007 Porsche Boxster - Base (M5)
This was my third Porsche (the first two were used 911s) and my first new purchase of one. I finding driving the Boxster to be a far more refined experience compared to my previous Porsche (a 1997 911 Cab). Yet the performance compared to that earlier generation is similar, and the cost far less. A true joy to drive.

2007 Porsche Boxster
A pleasure to drive
Pros: Engine sound
Cons: Blind spots
This car has more than adequate power, and it feels as though you're driving a rocket. It's also comfortable and luxurious, like cars costing much more. Overall it's the most fun car I've ever owned, and I've had BMW's and Mercedes as well.- Recommend this vehicle to a friend? Yes

2007 Porsche Cayman - Base
Pros: Tight responsive handling.
Cons: Bose system is not all that great
Advice: Don't buy a lot of options
Tight, crisp, responsive, on rails, steering. Adequate acceleration and very good gas mileage for a car in this performance range if you stay off heavy throttle use. Hard to do. Just plain fun to drive. Have 1500 miles so far on new 2007 Cayman. -
2007 Porsche Cayman - Base
Pros: dashboard crono to time yourself.
Cons: seats
Advice: Cayman S has more power
The seats are ok but not the ultimate in confort, The car is set up for speed if you want confort or long drives this car is not it. The handling is suberb specially at high speeds, cornering rocks. I do have a second vehicle so this is my Sunday car, I would not recomend this as a primary car specially for long drives. -
2006 Porsche 911 - 4S AWD Coupe
Pros: Grip and traction at speed.
Cons: Unexpected downshifts when braking.
Advice: Drive all the others and then all 911 versions first. Everything Porsche is an option it seems.
After driving a friend's '04 C4S, an 07 C2 S, 05 Viper and my own Corvette C5 I found true love in my 06 C4S. I got the Tiptronic (yeah, I know) but my left foot forgives my right foot since the left can finally rest when I'm otherwise busy or in traffic even though my right foot can't get the extra .2 seconds speed it usually seems to prefer. No more side slipping take offs like in rear wheel drive and show-off hard turns do not embarrass most drivers by pressure testing off-road obstacles and giving pre-Christmas gifts to the body shop guys. -
2006 Porsche 911 - S RWD Coupe
Pros: performance
Cons: gas mileage
Advice: carrera s is the one to buy; over carrera or c4s
Incredible power, balance, and drivability..........have owned 6 Porsches, and this is by far the best.
