    2004 Pontiac Sunfire - Base

Pros: It was the sunroof/stereo package

    Cons: See below

    Advice: Don't.

I bought one, then got into a front end car accident going 13 MPH. The car was TOTALED due to a dislocation of the front frame from the chassis. I had only had it for less than a year, and bought it new, so 'totaled' was a great deal of money, over 9000 dollars in damages. Be very careful buying one of these, or what should just be a 13 MPH fender bender could turn into taking the bus very quickly.

    2003 Pontiac Sunfire - Base

Pros: With GT package with optional automatic transmission, standard 4-wheel ABS and traction control, sufficient power and gas mileage.

Cons: Only available as a coupe, not available with cassette.

Advice: Great overall compact coupe with GT package if you do not need cassette. If so, check the Cavalier LS or LS Sport coupe.

I checked this with the GT package. I have to say I was very impressed! It is its looks and how it drives. However, it is no longer available as a sedan. It is not available with cassette. It is why I went with the Cavalier LS sedan. Also, the coupe has a little less back seat leg room than the Cavalier LS sedan. However, everything else is the same. And it is very good on gas. It has plenty of power. I recommend this coupe.

    2003 Pontiac Sunfire - Base

Pros: My favorite feature is the Getrag transmission.

    Cons: Cheap hubcaps.

Advice: If you can get the wheels, get them. The hubcaps are too cheap and make too much noise.

This car is super fun to drive!

    2003 Pontiac Sunfire - Base

    Pros: Excellent overall.

Cons: Not available in a sedan which has more back seat leg room.

Advice: If you want a great overall compact coupe, this is it. If you want a more roomy sedan, I suggest the 2003 Cavalier sedans.

This is an excellent overall coupe. I was just disappointed there is no sedan version made for 2003. In the coupes, they have less back seat leg room. So, my suggestion for those who want this in a sedan for 2003 is to check out the 2003 Cavalier sedans.

    2003 Pontiac Sunfire - Base

Pros: Great look for the price

    Cons: Performance and reliability

    Advice: Look elsewhere

When I purchased my Sunfire GT, it was 2 years old. Being used, I naturally did not expect it to be flawless. However, this car gave us problems from the minute we got it home. At first it was small little repairs here and there. However, those small little repairs quickly turned into larger problems. This is without a doubt the worst car I have ever owned. I know a few other people who have also gotten rid of their sunfires because of these reasons. I urge everyone considering one to look somewhere else.
