A very enjoyable car
Pros: interior design
Cons: nothingGreat car to drive. I do not drive it in the winter.
Cons: Lousy manufacturer support for known defects.Just after warranty expired, entire dash cover began peeling up all around its borders, including the lower center dash area. GM forums appear to report this is a known defect with these cars, however, GM has not offered any corrective assistance. Ignition switch tied into some security features is a failed item causing delayed starts requiring sitting for 11 minutes for the system to allow key to start the engine. Another over engineered feature that fails and causes extreme inconvenience.
Bonneville- Sports Car or Luxury Car?
Pros: Power Sunroof
Cons: Oddly-placed trunk botton.Actually, you will find that the Bonneville is both a sports car AND luxury car. Set to compete with the Lexus ES and BMW M5, it pulls out high on top. My Bonneville has a 4.2 V8. It goes 0-60 in 5.4 seconds when we took it to the track by our house. The exhaust is very loud and sounds like an Audi R8 in a way. The interior was added on with real-wood trim and leather upholstery. I added the wood aftermarket. I have been in 3 bumper-to-bumpers and there is still no marks or damage. The features are amazing. The power sunroof and OnStar hands-free are very useful. One odd thing is the trunk button in the glove-box. After time, you quickly get used to it being there. Inside while you are cruising, its very quiet and little wind noise. When you accelerate quickly, its like your in a fast Ferrari! The audio system is a BOSE 8 speaker system with 2 subs. The car's appearance is very sporty and aggressive, and not to mention, aerodynamic. The spoiler actually helps the aerodynamics of the car. Fuel economy is great. I get avg. 29 Highway, and 20 City. Handling is great with little body roll. This car should still exist. It would be very successful! That concludes my review of my 2005 Pontiac Bonneville! Hope you all enjoy!
