Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: I loved the Hurst shifter, VERY nice.
Cons: The car's turning radius is tighter to the left than to the right.
Advice: This is one of the best drag racers in its class, don't tell the cops.My only complaint is that the car has a tighter turning radius to the left than it dose to the right. Otherwise I love the V-8 engine with the big hod scoops for the ram air. It acceleates nicely for a stock car and the styling is nice too, if not a little too rounded in some places. But this is what GM sports cars are all about, get some engine power going, and scare all those little Honda boys. As a former Civic owner I know that the Firebird is a hell of a lot nicer. The Hurst Shifter is VERY nice. Unlike some other shifters, there is no screwing around to find the gear you want. With Hurst, you think it, you got it. You can bet I'll be spending some time in my garage this summer. By the time I'm through with it, it will be a whole new car.
Pros: immense leg room
Cons: aside from a higher price than I can afford
Advice: If you can afford itEver since I owned a 1988 Grand Prix, I have always wanted another one. I took a test drive recently and it confirmed to me just how much leg room is inside this beautiful car. Coming from a guy who stands 6'5', that is hard to come by. I don't like driving with my knees, and this car has plenty of room for movement inside. With tons of spunk and power, this is definitely a must-buy for the people who have a long drive, and want to be comfortable when they get there.
Cons: trunk opening
Advice: great carThe trunk lift over is too high. Also the trunk opening is not big enough. The trunk is large enough to hold big stuff, but the opening is not big enough to get the stuff in there.
Pros: Excellent styling/design.
Advice: If you want quality, comfort, appearance and value all in one... BUY NOW!The Sunfire SE may not have the power of some other vehicles in its class, but it more than makes up for this point in the style department. For a young person on budget, such as myself, the Sunfire SE gives you the best bang for your hard-earned buck. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone.
Pros: The PRIDE I feel in driving her!
Cons: That she cannot stay shiny clean all of the time.
Advice: You cannot go wrong with a Sunfire.I had a 1998 Sunfire that was recently totaled out in an accident. The car sustained a great of damage (hit on the driver's side) yet I was not seriously injured. I was heart broken, as I have loved my red Sunfire. I shed many tears, but have been fortunate to replace her with a 2002 Sunfire -- the same BEAUTIFUL red as my first one!!! Now I am proudly driving Tamale Mobile II.
Advice: get a deal or get a matrixI liked the pontiac vibe overall but I feel that the matrix may be the better value since it is essentially the same car I am a long time pontiac owner and currently have a 1978 y 88 T/A and a 1999 30th anv. T/A
Pros: Moon roof, and the back seat is big (hint hint)
Cons: THE EXHAUST TIPS they have surface rust, way to much.
Advice: GRAND AM GT or GT1 only, if you cant afford that, then dont buy a Grand amRides great, and this time around its got some balls.
