    2004 Pontiac Grand Prix - GT1

    Pros: wide track driving

Cons: size of ashtray for smokers only

Advice: test drive it and you'll love it

I test drove this vehicle and it drives smoothly and rides smoothly and consequently I bought one. Looks are important to me, but the way a car drives and handles is much more important. I had test drove other vehicles before this, but liked it best. The test drive was done with our family of 5 and we were all comfortable and have recently taken it on a vacation and everybody was comfortable for the 800 mile each way trip. In driving it you have to watch your speed or you will be cruising at excessive speeds without even knowing it.

    2004 Pontiac Grand Prix - GT2

    Pros: Interior and performance

    Cons: GT2 spoiler is small

Advice: GT2 is perfect for the younger/non-racer driver

I test drove the GT2 model. I recommend the GT2 if your like me and trying not to get pulled over for speeding and to avoid higher insurance rates. It still has POWER and the take off speed is great. I love the new look, but I have notice that some die hard GP fanboys don't like it the new look. GT2 cost less then the GTP so use that extra cash for a sunroof and chromes. Peace

2004 Pontiac Grand Prix - GTP

    Pros: Interior design

    Cons: Back seat comfort

Advice: Compare performance value to other import sedans

The GTP with the competition group package provides loads of power with great handling at a great value compared to similar sport sedans. The styling inside and out is a major advance from previous models. It also has practical features including a spacious trunk and fold down seats. This car is a lot of fun. I keep looking for excuses to take it out.

2004 Pontiac Grand Prix - GTP

    Pros: Styling

    Cons: The back seat

Advice: Test drive the car over different types of roads

I test drove the GTP first. It was very quiet and little road noise from the tires. It drove very nice, not as smooth as my Passat, but it's a different car. I next test drove a GT2. It had more road noise from the tires, and I just didn't feel the ride was as good as the GTP. Also, didn't care for the cloth seats. I got the GTP and have had it for about a month, and love every moment of the drive to and from work. Haven't seen to many on the road. Get a lot of looks.

2004 Pontiac Grand Prix - GTP

    Pros: The power!

Cons: Curtain air bags are not available yet as of 5/28/03

Advice: Get it fully loaded,it's a bargin!

I have test drove this car 3 times, each time It was the GTP with the Competion package. This car handles very well on the curves, it hugs the road like the magnets on my refrigerator! The tap shift is a blast, I love the control of a manual, but at times prefer an automatic. This car gives you both! The heads up display also prompts you to shift before the red line. I had the car going 92mph up a steep hill in 3rd gear! Needless to say I was impressed! So much for the 500 mile break in period.
