    2004 Pontiac Grand Prix - GT1

Pros: The Engine... This car does get up and go!

    Cons: The seats!

Advice: Don't buy this car if you are in sales and drive a lot of miles.

I spend the majority of my day driving in this vehicle and have developed lower back pain and numbness in my left leg and was placed on medical disability. In recent research, I have found that this is a common them with the 2004 model. The seats are very stiff and uncomfortable. For the average person who drives this car to and from work it is great but for someone who is looking to put lots of miles on the car... THINK AGAIN! And if you want passengers in the back, there is very little leg room!

    2004 Pontiac Grand Prix - GT1

    Pros: Big bad sound system

Cons: fake aluminum on steering wheel

Advice: Wait for the GXP version

My previous car was a Grand Am GT, so I thought getting into a Gran Prix would be similar. WRONG!! The Prix is considerably bigger and handles altogether differently. Corners have to be taken a bit easier, but it tracks much straighter than my Grand Am ever did. After a week or so I got the hang of exactly how to corner the GP and it's been fine ever since. The dash and center stack layout is ergonomiclly perfect, as are the seats. I never feel like I'm getting thrown around in the driver seat, no matter what. The car has a very smooth ride, no matter how bad the road I'm on is......very different from the Grand Am. Overall, I like the car a lot, but I don't LOVE it.

    2004 Pontiac Grand Prix - GT2

    Pros: New design

Cons: Absolutely no leg room in back seat

Advice: If you need the rear seat for passengers, consider another vehicle

This car would be perfect if there was more leg room in the back seat. My previous vehicle (99 Grand Am) had so much more leg room than the 2004 Grand Prix. I am slightly over 5 feet tall and I cannot fit into the back seat if the front seats are back as far as they will go. You also cannot fold your rear seats down if one of the front seats is back too far. They say this car seats 5 people, but the 3 who sit in back need to be under 4 feet tall to be comfortable.

    2004 Pontiac Grand Prix - GT1

    Pros: design/style

Cons: emergency brake. I find that i always hit it with my foot when leaving the car. Always hit the traction control button, turning it off.

Advice: I had traded in my 2001 Grand Am in for this car. I had not one complaint about that car. I fell in love with the new styling of the Grand Prix and just had to have it .I really love the Grand Prix, but have found that my Grand Am handled better .

Nice and roomy interior. Lots of power.

    2004 Pontiac Grand Prix - GT1

Pros: 3.8 V6, plenty of power, cast iron head and block

Cons: The back seats are stiff and seem to sit kinda low.

Advice: Buy a program car, you save ALOT of money and still get a great car

This is my first Pontiac, I really enjoy it. The 04' Grand Prix has a very slick style, and the Wide Track is very close to my favorite feature. I traded in a 99' Monte Carlo and this Grand Prix corners like a dream compared to the Monte. I get lots of complements, and because I bought it as a program car I saved a lot of money. I would recommend this car to someone who wants a little speed as well as a car for the family. My little girl is in a car seat in the back and just loves to look out the rear window, and the angle of the window is just right, that she can see quite a bit.

    2004 Pontiac Grand Prix - GT2

Pros: The Heated Seats and the style of the car

Cons: No leg room in back (if you don't bring the kids your fine)

Advice: This car is worth the money, even with the small back seat you can fit 5 people in very well.

I test drove my GP2 and fell in love. It is sporty and fun. I bought it then and there.

    2004 Pontiac Grand Prix - GT2

Pros: Seats wrap around the driver very comfortably.

Cons: Creaking sounds and overall cabin noise.

Advice: Shop around. Look for a car with higher interior quality.

Peppy engine. Good gas mileage (30mpg highway). Too much wind noise. I've had it in the shop 3 times to fix the rear right door air leak, but they can't fix it. Service department never seemed too competant. Also had it in several times for creaking noises from the plastic interior. Also had it in once for a recall on the brakes. Not much head room. Final complaint - horrible resale value. One year old and it lost 55% of it's original sticker price.
