Pros: The heated seats
Advice: Don't believe the hype that foreign is always better. I've owned both and this by far is my favorite. You have to try it out for yourself.I purchased this car in 2002 and I still love it. It rides like a dream. I have not had any problems with it.
Cons: The inside glass fogs easy.
Advice: If you can find a 40th Anniversary Ed. BUY IT!The best car I've ever owned. I've owned alot of cars in 35 years and my 40th Anniversary Edition is the best. Handling, looks, comfort.Well.... if you can find one, buy it!
Pros: Heated seat and heads up
Advice: If you are short like me, think twiceI love the ride of this car; however, I am considering trading because the car's headrest is too large and I cannot see clearly behind me when I look back. This has already caused me to back into another car that I did not see coming. Also, spoiler leaks water when I wash the car and my car is black so there are continual water streaks across the back; and ping sounds under the car when I turn it off.
Pros: Dual temp. controls, heated drivers seat, Bose stereo
Cons: The drink holders aren't very deep and are rather flimsy
Advice: This a very nice and sporty car, I think it is well worth the money! It has great get-up-and-go! I love the way it takes corners. ABS is great. I really like OnStar, it gives peace of mind. The heads-up display is a great safety feature. I also really like the radio controls on the steering wheel. The heated driver seat is wonderful in the winter, it gets warm almost instantly. The power moon roof is great in the spring and fall, when it is open it also sucks air in through the door panel giving a great flow of air. The was alot of noise with the moon roof open, but I put an air deflector above mine and it has limited alot of the wind noise.
Pros: heads up display
Cons: the digital read out would be nice if it had other options (i.e.
Advice: Sign on the dotted line (Buy it)I just bought the 2002 40th anniversary addition. What a HOT CAR!!! I had been looking for a 4x4 truck but the salesman suggested the grand prix and I instantly fell in love. On an 800 mile trip we averaged 27.8 mpg. I love the styling, color, heads up display, and bose speakers. The stereo could be better though it does just fine. This car is a muscle car with modern day amenities.
Pros: All the room.( I am 6'3')
Advice: DO IT!!! Keep an eye on spoiler, ours had to be resealed. My wife and I first rented a 2002 Grand Prix SE and the only complaint I had was that it was a little rough of a ride and you got alot of road noise. We were still impressed with the Grand Prix and went to buy a Grand Prix GT. We went to the dealership and were blown away with the ride of the GT,the ride was excellent and you didnt get the road noise like the SE model. The GT had the 200 hp motor and I really didnt notice a difference here but everyone of the employees that I spoke to at the GM garage recommended the 200 hp motor.
Pros: heads up display
Cons: remote trunk opener in glove box
Advice: try it you will like itI went from a Grand AM to the Grand Prix. More room and a better ride. Also gas mileage is as good or better. Love the heads up display and boise sound system. Great car and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
