    2006 Pontiac G6 - Base Sedan

    Pros: THE INTERIOR

    Cons: THE WHEEL COVERS

Advice: BEFORE BUYING DO ALOT OF RESEARCH ONLINE

THE G6 4 DOOR SEDAN IS A GREAT CAR . SMOOTH RIDE , GREAT LOOKS , GOOD INCENTIVES . IT HAS MANY GREAT OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM TO MEET YOUR PRICE RANGE . I HAVE HAD A HONDA CIVIC AND ACCORD ALSO 2 VW JETTA'S AND A MITSUBISHI LANCER AND THIS CAR IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST YET . AND MOST IMPORTANT IT FEELS SAFE , NOT CHEAP . THE LANCER WAS THE WORST CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED !! THE G6 IS TRULY WORTH WHAT YOU PAY FOR IT .

    2006 Pontiac Solstice - Base

    Pros: Appearance

    Cons: Needs more pep

Advice: This is a fun car and not a practical car. Do not fool yourselves though. It is more fun and more styllish can the bigger cars can possibly be. I think there is great possibility of it becoming a classic.

You want to be really careful about using the cruise control in hilly and/or slippery conditions. The car is so well balanced that it can start to hydroplane without correct braking. I would not have said anything about the performance if I did not own other GM cars with the six cylinder engines. The six cylinder Chevys (my former Monte Carlo, my Tracker, my 2000 Camaro, and new 200 HP Malibu) have better snap and remarkably better gas mileage with the exception of the 4WD Tracker LT). If it was not for the attraction of owning one of the first 1000, I would have waited. Other little things: aluminum brake and clutch pads would be a nice touch, optional luggage rack or a little more storage space, and still trying to get use to the telescopic dash. The fuel reading is hard to see. I have to say that I like the set up in the wife's Malibu better. But it does feel tight and magical. Its look and feel is like a modern 53 Corvette.

    2006 Pontiac Solstice - Base

    Pros: body styling

Cons: the gas tank filling up the trunk space

Advice: consider getting an '07 as it has some nice improvements such as dual exhausts

It has plenty of zip and it sticks to the road like a magnet thanks to its wide stance and abundance of rubber. This curvacious, sexy machine draws stares everywhere. IMO, it needs a little bit of wood decor to break up the plastic look in the interior. Maybe I'll do that to mine. I would prefer a few extra ponies and less weight, too. I know...same shortcomings everyone else has.

    2006 Pontiac G6 - Base Sedan

    Pros: the power and performance

    Cons: Nothing

    Advice: enjoy your test drive

I was a little worried at first, about buying a new redesigned car and a first year engine (2.4 litre ecotech. But I was quite suprised at the performance. It had a lot of pick up and it rides really smooth. I love the stereo me being only 18. the 2006 Pontiac G6 is a great car. it sticks to the road like glue, even in the rain, (altough some caution should be taken).I purchased it. and when I went to show my friend who has a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am with a V6 he gave me some greif for buying a four cylinder. to give you a little taste of the power and to show him what it had, we went out on the road and My 4 cylinder G6 stayed right along side of his V-6 Grand AM. I would recommend this car to everyone. don't be disappointed at all if your pocket book can only afford the 4 cylinder because it is just as fun.

    2006 Pontiac G6 - Base 6 Cyl. Sedan

Pros: I love the way the wheel moves easier than other cars which claim they have power steering

Cons: I don't like the fact that the gas gauge doesn't work after 2 weeks and the car needs to go back into the garage next week again to have the gas gauge calibrated?

Advice: Make sure the gas gauge really works before driving it off of the lot if you buy one

I love the way it handles. This is my 5th Pontiac and I just keep buying a Pontiac each time. I don't even consider anything else.

    2006 Pontiac G6 - Base 6 Cyl. Sedan

Pros: Refined looks & great acceleration for hwy & city driving. Also liked G6 remote starter option

Cons: Back seat visibility, & lack of MP3 stereo option.

Advice: G6 is fun to drive & gives you more driving excitement than Honda Accord or Toyota Camry

Great car with refined looks and excellent road power. Standard V6 with 200hp has great acceleration for hwy & city driving with better MPG than GT engine options. Ride is comfortable, but rides more like sport sedan than luxury car. Back seat visibility for passengers is limited due to rear window design. The $150 remote starter is great option to get if you live in cold/hot weather states. The 6 disk CD stereo provides great music pleasure. Overall, the car is fun to drive & gives you more driving excitement than 2006 Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. Wish list: Car stereo needs a MP3 Player option, also computer information console lacks compass feature.

    2006 Pontiac G6 - GTP Sedan V6

    Pros: The 250 horsepower 3900 V6!!!

Cons: The rear view is a little tight, but adequate when paired with the side mirrors.

Advice: Drive it, buy it. You will fall in love with it. Fro the price it can't be beat.

I drove a GTP and then I drove a GT. The GTP is much more fun to drive! The extra 50 horses are VERY noticeable. The GT is a great car if you don't drive the GTP first to find out what you are missing out on. The seats fit like a glove and adjust to accomodate any body type. The car I drove had a sunroof and my head was a good 2-3 inches below the roofline...and I am 5'10'. It has dual exhaust which adds a little to the performance as well as the overall look of the vehicle.
