    2006 Nissan Xterra - S (M6) 4x4

    Pros: power

    Cons: dont have one

Advice: buy it buy it buy it

This thing has great power. 4 wheel drive is excellent. Decent gas mileage for the size and power. I put this thing through alot of abuse the last three years and it just keeps asking for more.

    2006 Nissan Xterra - X (M6) 4x4

Pros: Looks good and good 4 wheel drive

    Cons: Road noise, no frills

Advice: If you don't want any exciting features and don't mind bumpy rides and road noise this is your car!

Such a rough ride! We bought the Xterra new because it was still priced in the $20's the rest of the cars/SUV's we liked were in the 30's...but my goodness it's very plain jane, super bumpy and the road noise is bad. Knock on wood it has been good to us, no real problems. but I would not buy it again, it's also bad on gas...

    2006 Nissan Xterra - Off Road (M6) 4x4

    Pros: The whole unit

Cons: When I have to step down and not driving it.

    Advice: Don't buy 2WD

I have 2006 Off Road 4x4 since July2006. Now it has 25000Km passed trough dry, hot, rain, snow, ice and mud. Nothing to say, but Excellent. All the automatic features worked perfect. Takes a lot of abuse and does not get decivilized. One car wash and looks like a pearl coming from car show.

    2006 Nissan Xterra - SE (A5) 4x2

Pros: Its ruggedness, footsteps on the bumpers, tow bar, and lots of room in the back. And, the ease of taking out the back seats in 30 seconds!!

Cons: Trying to change the frickin' oil!

Advice: No teenagers, no one with a lead foot, and don't waste time with a standard transmission

265 HP engine is way too much for the short-wheel base of this vehicle. Way too much torque. When you punch it, the steering wheel jerks a little, because it pulls way too hard too fast. My wife wrecked hers because of this. Would be ok for someone who wasn't a lead foot though. Lots of room in the back seat, and is the perfect vehicle for camping and playing around. Very tall interior. This is NOT a family vehicle. Big Tires are kinda loud, and it does ride a little more stiff than the Pathfinder.
