    2002 Nissan Xterra - XE-I4 (M5) 4x2

Pros: IT'S VERY SPACEY INSIDE, THE COMFORTNESS AND THE EXTRA SPACE UP ON THE ROOF AREA.

Cons: VERY LOW GAS MILEAGE (but I knew that even before I purchased it), AND NO PLACE TO PUT YOUR TRASH IN..

Advice: TEST DRIVE ONE, PLEASE!!! AND SEE WHAT YOU GET!!!!!

I TEST DROVE THE XTERRA XE 2WD WITH ALL THE OPTIONS AND FOUND IT VERY EXHILIRATING AND FUN, I HAD RESEARCHED AND DONE MY HOMEWORK ON THIS VEHICLE FOR AWHILE AND TEST DROVE IT AND LOVED IT,EVENTUALLY TOOK IT HOME WITH ME AND BEEN LOVING IT EVER SINCE. WHILE TEST DRIVING IT, I TOOK IT OFF-ROAD AND DROVE LIKE A REAL SUV SHOULD HANDLE, ROUGH AND TUMBLE.I GOT THE 5 SPEED WHICH REALLY KICKS,LOVE DRIVING THAT STICK.IT IS VERY COMFORTABLE FOR A REAL SUV BASED TRUCK AND HANDLES VERY WELL ON PAVED ROADS.THE XE WITH ALL THE OPTIONS IS ALL YOU NEED FOR YOUR XTERRA ENJOYMENT.

    2002 Nissan Xterra - SE (M5) 4x4

Pros: Steering wheel controls and the 17' tires that come with the Supercharged Engine package

Cons: Narrow entry into the back seat...but it's dueable

Advice: Buy it you will love it

I first test drove the normal SE V6 but then I switched to the SE V6 Supercharged and there was a huge difference in the power. The acceleration was great, it was definitely the best out of all the SUV's I had driven (Pathfinder, Bravada, Rodeo). The supercharged engine is definitely worth the extra money.

    2002 Nissan Xterra - SE (M5) 4x2

Pros: The fact that it sits up high, but does not ride like other SUVs that I have ridden in.

Cons: The end of the seatbelt attached to the floor needs to stick up higher.

Advice: Go for it. You will love it. I do.

I have enjoyed driving this SUV. It handles like a car. The handling abilities exceed what I expected from an SUV.

The V6 Manual that I test drove was fantastic. It has a lot of kick. The dashboard is very simple and the environmental controls are easy to operate.

    2002 Nissan Xterra - XE (M5) 4x4

Pros: Looks, function & performance of headlights on country roads.

Cons: Could use more power without resorting to supercharged engine.

Advice: Drive other SUV's, then Xterra. Also look under to compare drivetrains, 4&5 bolt wheels vs 6 bolt for Xterra.

The vehicle was delivered with no defects. The shifting of the transfer case from 4wd back to 2wd is not as positive as it should be. Holds the road well in high winds, very stable when driven hard on winding roads ~ for an SUV. Comfortable seating for tall people, front & rear. Rear end will get loose when driven fast on rough roads. Standard sound system decent, AM & FM pickup excellent. Heater is very good in cold climate. AC also works well. Defrosters are excellent, clears side windows rapidly.
