2006 Nissan Titan - LE 4x2 Crew Cab

Pros: The power roll down rear window.

Cons: Haven't found anything I don't like about it. Seriously!

Advice: Go with the crew cab. You won't regret it.

I drove 740 miles this weekend and averaged 20.2 mpg. This was all highway miles and I had the cruise control set to the speed limit. I love this truck! Around town I average about 19 mpg. This has a V8 5.7L engine. Anywhere I park I almost always have someone say how much they love my truck. I have had it for over 14 months now and haven't had a single problem with it. The back seat rides better than the average car, and has sooo much room. I had a Nissan Sentra for over 9 years and the only problem with that, in the last year, was a rusted muffler (after 9 years). The Nissan quality just can't be beat. I've also had Ford and GMC trucks, but always had problems with them. I'm sticking with Nissan for now on. My wife has a 2001 Infiniti QX4, and likes her SUV. But she said she wants a Nissan Titan Crew Cab for her next vehicle.

2005 Nissan Titan - SE 4x2 King Cab All Regions

    Pros: Motor, Performance

Cons: Cheap plastic Cup holder, some other Cheap plastics on the interior.

Advice: Definitely test drive one and consider buying, since release bugs should be worked out on new models.

Purchased my 2005 Titan late in the year. Within 3 months I had the dreaded brake problem, stopped by the dealership, no questions asked, recall number, put it in the shop and they replaced all rotors and pads with updated parts. Have put 42K miles on the vehicle since then and changed tires, have done nothing but regular maintainence. I drive it to work and back every day and tow my boat to the lake 2 times a week just about every week. The truck has been excellent to date, no window problem, no dash noises, mechanically sound towing the boat and hauling home depot yard junk. My wife's 02 pathfinder has 65K on it and the same, excellent, zero problems, and has been excellent. I have had Ford, Cheverlot, Pontiac, Toyota vehicles over the years and have never been as happy with a vehicle as I have since going to Nissan, the only other I would buy would be Honda.

2005 Nissan Titan - XE 4x4 King Cab All Regions

Pros: Plush. It has the SE bench pkg. which has all comfort options known to man.

Cons: Transmission too touchy and exhaust noise.

Advice: Don't pay too much, they came out with a bunch of rebates after I bought this one.

This truck is built to tow. I bought it because it was the most powerful truck in it's class (1/2 ton) at the time. It rides great. Two dislikes 1) The engine noise (exhaust) gets on my nerves when riding around town. 2) The transmission (auto) is touchy. Press on the accelerator just a smidge and it leaps into a lower gear. A plus when towing maybe but irritating around town without a load.

2004 Nissan Titan - SE 4x4 King Cab

Pros: Engine, Transmission, towing capability, and VDC stability control

Cons: There is nothing I don't like, after the brakes were fixed under warranty

Advice: I've owned Chevy and Ford and the Titan simply blows them away! Buy One.

If you need a truck that is capable to pull and tow, comfortable and extremely safe, this is your truck. The power is awesome, the 5 speed tranny is perfect. I tow vans on a large trailer over the Rockies daily and the truck is a beast over 12,000 foot passes towing 7000 pounds. Most importantly, the truck with VDC is so safe. I have driven it through white-out blizzards with no visibility where the highway was littered with stuck cars. I have climbed from 5400 to 9200 feet in elevation through one foot of unplowed snow at night. Steer it where you want to go, and it will take you there safely! Just press the gas, it will regulate the throttle for you and hit some individual brakes to keep you straight. It has never swerved or slipped. I do recommend winter tires if you're driving like I do! Bridgestone Blizzaks are doing awesome with the Titan! The truck is comfortable and very refined. Clean off the snow and mud and drive it out to dinner! :-) Nissan Quality is proven. I have owned nothing but Nissan and Infiniti for 15 years. I'm glad they finally made me a real truck!

2006 Nissan Titan - SE 4x2 King Cab

Pros: Engine & Perfectly matched Transmission, 6-CD changer, and rear doors that open 168 degrees

Cons: Wife says the seats are too hard. Height of the truck makes it impossible to wash the top!

Advice: Go easy on the gas pedal for at least the first 10,000 miles. With an alloy block, you can really do some long-term damage with that much power in a brand new truck!--and Step Bars

Lotsa power!! I would suggest changing the air filter to a K&N though. Adds another 11 hp & about 15 ft/lbs of torque and improves mileage. Just went 200 miles on 10 gallons of gas. Have never gotten less than 15 (better than my Frontier). Tach sits less than 1500 at 60 mph. But, when you punch it, the wheels grab and I am making dust. Fastest acceleration of ANY stock truck. Punch it too many times though and it will take a chunk out of the fuel guage. Very tight steering, and extremely sharp turning radius. Get step bars, because the roof sits about 8 inches taller than other full-size trucks. King Cab is actually longer than Dodge with 4 full-size doors.

2005 Nissan Titan - SE 4x2 King Cab All Regions

Pros: an option for a bigger gas tank would have been nice

Cons: I love this truck, everything is so well thought out.

Advice: Don't wait, this is hands down the best truck of this size out there.

This is an awesome truck - I love it The sound system, the roominess, the power, the seats, etc.... it is just a great truck. I tow 6,000 lb trailers, and you can hardly tell its back there (except the mpg goes down - but more about drag of the trailer than the weight). if doing 55 and you want to pass, you are at 85 in a few seconds... the power is incredible at every level. The Crew Cab is second to none for room in the back.
