2006 Nissan Titan - LE 4x2 Crew Cab
Pros: The power roll down rear window.
Cons: Haven't found anything I don't like about it. Seriously!
Advice: Go with the crew cab. You won't regret it.I drove 740 miles this weekend and averaged 20.2 mpg. This was all highway miles and I had the cruise control set to the speed limit. I love this truck! Around town I average about 19 mpg. This has a V8 5.7L engine. Anywhere I park I almost always have someone say how much they love my truck. I have had it for over 14 months now and haven't had a single problem with it. The back seat rides better than the average car, and has sooo much room. I had a Nissan Sentra for over 9 years and the only problem with that, in the last year, was a rusted muffler (after 9 years). The Nissan quality just can't be beat. I've also had Ford and GMC trucks, but always had problems with them. I'm sticking with Nissan for now on. My wife has a 2001 Infiniti QX4, and likes her SUV. But she said she wants a Nissan Titan Crew Cab for her next vehicle.
2006 Nissan Titan - SE 4x2 King Cab
Pros: Engine & Perfectly matched Transmission, 6-CD changer, and rear doors that open 168 degrees
Cons: Wife says the seats are too hard. Height of the truck makes it impossible to wash the top!
Advice: Go easy on the gas pedal for at least the first 10,000 miles. With an alloy block, you can really do some long-term damage with that much power in a brand new truck!--and Step BarsLotsa power!! I would suggest changing the air filter to a K&N though. Adds another 11 hp & about 15 ft/lbs of torque and improves mileage. Just went 200 miles on 10 gallons of gas. Have never gotten less than 15 (better than my Frontier). Tach sits less than 1500 at 60 mph. But, when you punch it, the wheels grab and I am making dust. Fastest acceleration of ANY stock truck. Punch it too many times though and it will take a chunk out of the fuel guage. Very tight steering, and extremely sharp turning radius. Get step bars, because the roof sits about 8 inches taller than other full-size trucks. King Cab is actually longer than Dodge with 4 full-size doors.
