    2003 Nissan Sentra - GXE (50 State) (M5)

    Pros: None

Cons: The reliability is substandard at best.

    Advice: AVOID THIS CAR

I bought my 2003 Sentra in November of 2002. Since that time, I've kept up with the regular scheduled maintenance and only put 50,000 miles on it. I've already had to replace tires, brakes, a mistooled rotor, and now all of the belts and the power steering pump. (Not to mention the sound system was totally ridiculous. The speakers couldn't even handle the factory installed radio.) THIS IS THE BIGGEST LEMON EVER! This car has been babied and yet it still has all these issues. I hate to imagine what damage would have been done had I had driven it hard at all. This is my second Nissan and my LAST. Reliability....HA!! Avoid this car. Reliability is not what is claimed, service is costly and takes forever, you are treated rudely if your car isn't under warranty (Nissan feels NO obligation to you as a buyer once the warranty is up.) For all the repair and maintenance costs, I've lost any cost savings that I hoped buying this model would give me. I won't make that mistake again.

    2003 Nissan Sentra - SE-R ULEV (M5)

Pros: The 2.5 Litre Incline 4 engine.

    Cons: The interior door panels.

Advice: Buy it, good car that has alot covered under warrenty.

The SE-R beats all of those cars that think thier rough and tough under the hood. There like lets race this sentra but i dont think they know whats under the hood! Unbelievable, i cant say how many cars i have beaten with this car. The car in the winter is also pretty good, but since the car has a lower profile the car tends to plow threw snow sometimes. The interior door panels are not very well built and tend to squeek and rattle. The clutch, gas and brake pedel are very well and comfortable. There is not alot of leg room in the back me being 6'4' find it very uncomfortable to be in the back longer than 30 mins. Any size under 5'10' would be comfortable. The drivers seat has a wide range of positions for the awkward driver. The sound system is also good for a 4 door family sedan.

    2003 Nissan Sentra - GXE (50 State) (M5)

    Pros: reliablity

Cons: selecting '2' on Sentra's automatic won't lock-out 1st gear for snowbelt driving.

Advice: Sentra is a mostly reliable 'also ran' but not leader of the pack...

I purchased my Sentra GXE (new) in September of 2003 and after a little over 2 years of use haven't been let down. Some minor problems - dashboard rattles and a noisey alternator pulley that kicks-in with damp weather conditions. Good gas mileage and good front seat comfort for a small car.

    2003 Nissan Sentra - GXE (50 State) (M5)

    Pros: gas milage

Cons: cup holders and wind noise at high speeds

Advice: If you want a car for around town only!

Good little car for around town, but can be uncomfortable on long trips. It handles o.k. at moderate speeds but seems to want to drift in turns on the interstate. My 98' jeep cherokee handles better than it does? The manual transmission seems loud and rough compared to other cars I've owned. Gas milage is pretty good but I wish it had a little bigger tank for long trips. I don't know what nissan was thinking when they put the cupholders right next to the dash, you can't fit anything but a can in them! It still is good little car but I wouldn't buy another one!

    2003 Nissan Sentra - SE-R Spec V LEV (M6)

    Pros: sunroof

Cons: Audio System Fosgate extra dollars but the speakers are Nissan SAD.....

Advice: Check the dealer out make sure they will help you all the way. My dealer was the best.

I bought my Spec V in August of last year. Two months later I needed the engine replaced. Nissan stalled for about 3 months having me call the cutomer service rep that didnt do nothing until I contacted the BBB Auto Division.I was passed around from person to person.Five different Reps promised to help. Nissan makes a few great cars. The customer service reps in California Suck.I had to get a lawyer on stand by.My car only had 7,000 miles. Never again will I buy a Nissan for that reason. Not to mention the audio system blows the subwoofer all the time. If you paid for the Audio Fosgate system why arent the speakers made by the Company.
