2005 Nissan Murano
All in All, A Good Crossover
Pros: All Wheel Drive availability
Cons: The need for premium fuel and poor gas mileage
This is a nice vehicle if you're looking for better than average size and all wheel drive. The CVT transmission is completely boring and needs to be replaced with a traditional one.- Recommend this vehicle to a friend? No

2005 Nissan Murano - SL AWD
Pros: SAFETY, AWD, auto lights, sporty ride, plush interior.
Cons: Gas mileage, no Ipod hookup.
Advice: Buy this one, for the price it is well worth it.
Bought Feb 07. Wife test drove and loved it. Wrecked May 07. 45 MPH front end collision and WE WALKED AWAY!!!!! Only injury I sustained was when the airbag in the seat cut my arm (Ouchie) My wife was banged up pretty bad but just bruses. The Murano was front flattened. I just bought a replacement 07 (S AWD) and aside from the loss of the compass mirror and auto lights we couldnt be happier with the Nissan Murano. And yes it is worth it to get the AWD Will go on first cross country road trip this summer and will review the 07 after -
2005 Nissan Murano - SL AWD
Pros: The overall ride
Cons: none
Advice: it's a great car for the price and performs well
My husband and I are expecting our first child and we needed a large car with more room. We have a '98' Maxima and were very pleased with nissan overall. However, with a new baby on the way we thought we would need a little more room. I have had my eye on the murano for the past 3 years and I must say it met all of my expectations and then some. I have an hour commute to work and it's great on gas, the interior is spacious and the ride is very comfortable. I am only 5 feet tall so and this SUV doesn't consume me it's perfect!! -
2005 Nissan Murano - S FWD
Pros: the comfort & the smooth ride
Cons: the rounded back makes it a little hard to judge when backing up to something
Advice: don't knock it until you've driven or rode in one.
I was kind of looking for a truck but was somewhat disappointed with the small space of the Frontier cab. I wouldn't have minded the Titan, but not a V-8 (too much gas). Once I test drove the Murano, I knew that I did not have to seek any further - I found what I wanted. The overall space for driver & passengers was a big plus for me, since I am a big person with a lot of big friends. The Murano rides like a champ and the 18-inch wheels provide a smooth & enjoyable commute to and from wherever I go. I would recommend the Murano very highly - I used to be a die hard Chevy person, but I jumped the fence. My wife has a Toyota Highlander, but the Murano is a much nicer ride. -
2005 Nissan Murano - SL AWD
Pros: Looks
Cons: Tires
Advice: Look on the internet for the car you want and shop for price as I did.
2005 SL AWD I have 3000 miles on my mo so far and have no regrets. Love the way it drives and handles. Pull my 18.5' boat with no problems. In fact the Reese hitch makes the car look more sporty... -
2005 Nissan Murano - SL FWD
Pros: Comfort
Cons: Nothing, absolutely nothing
Advice: Buy one, they are great...
This is a great vehicle. The best I've ever purchased. -
2005 Nissan Murano - SE AWD
Pros: It's a blast to drive.
Cons: Engine noise., Wiper and Light Controls confusing.
Advice: Buy it...
I love it. It's an SUV that drives like a sports car. Get 21 mpg combined on regular unleaded, There is no need to run premium gas in this vehicle. Is more comfortable and performs better than compition. No third row seat which is a plus for me becuse you can't put anyone over the age of 5 in one anyway, it's just a dust collector. CVT transmition does a good job up hill. V6 has plenty of power. If you want leather but not the sun roof go with lesser package and add leather later for half the price. Back seat is very spacious and folds down for storage room.
