2006 Nissan Quest - SL (A5)
Pros: Interior space
Cons: Mechanical issues galore
Advice: DON'TStay away...far, far, away! We bought this in July '04 intending to keep it forever. Will be trading it in tomorrow. More problems than I can tell. Had to have the fuel pump replaced already. Brakes are GONE in under 30,000. A/C does not come out very cold and when it's cool outside, the vent fan always blows hot air. I would never buy Nissan after my experience with this van.

Pros: Style & looks
Cons: Quality is lacking.
Advice: Just plain and simple don't buy it.Don't do it. You'll be sorry just like we are. QUEST=LEMON. We have had this top of the line Quest for 3 months and have nothing but problems. The dealer is of little help and Nissan will only get minimally involved with their own piece of junk. We're filing a lemon law complaint.
2006 Nissan Quest - (A4)
Cons: lowness to the gound
Advice: test drive this van pull in and out of parking spaces.hard to park, hard to get out of park I have to really pull on the shifter, side doors rattle like they are not shut, and today when I was in a car wash my rear door went up and got damaged, and I have no idea why it went up,also rides really low to the ground I bottom out all the time. I really hate this van would never buy another.It looks beautiful, and the inside is great really comfortable in the back and on long trips.Did not really find out all this till I bought the vehicle.

Advice: Negotiate a big discount. This isn't a popular vehicle.I do not own this vehicle - I rented it for four days to take the family to California. The interior is cavernous, with easy access to all the seats. The center seats fold forward, which really helps with access to the rear seats. The interior volume behind the rear seats is capacious as well. We were able to load four suitcases and a stroller into the well behind the back seat. The vehicle got respectable fuel economy (in the mid-20s), and performance was surprising. I once squealed the tires when I pushed the accelerator a bit too hard. The vehicle rides very smoothly, tracks well and has less body roll than I expected. Like any minivan, try to avoid quick moves, but this vehicle holds no nasty surprises when manuevering it in traffic. I am sold on this vehicle except for one thing: The bizarre controls. The odd 'serving dish' platform on which many of the function buttons and the transmission shifter reside is a definite minus. There is little distance between the shifter and the right control stalk, and I once knocked the vehicle into neutral when reaching for it. The instrument display sits in the center of the dash, which requires you to look well away from your direction of travel to see it. I found it disconcerting to drive the vehicle at night and see nothing when I looked through the steering wheel.

Advice: negotiate priceWe just purchase a 2006 and we are delighted with the van. we haven't had it quite two months yet but is still testing it for now. one thing for sure I know will not change is the body style and the color(coral)which is excellent. see you in six months.

Advice: don't expect good gas mileageI'm sorry some have had problems with their Quest. I have had little problems with mine. purchased May 04. The only problem I have had are with the speakers which I have had replaced and still have a problem. Not taking it back because the hassle with the service dept just isn't worth. I don't believe it is the speakers though, but have alot of static in them. The gas mileage is not up to par and am disappointed with that. The comfort is far superior to most mini vans and have taken several trips in it. I had a Tahoe before this which I loved. Wish the lumbar was as good as the tahoe, that is lacking.I got use to the compass on the Tahoe which the Questdoes not have. Wish they would design that into their models and get rid of the drink holders on the seats in the second row the and reposition them maybe on the inside. They are not comfortable to crawl across to get out,,,short legs have trouble getting over them. Third row seat is impossible to raise and lower for a woman and I would say most men. The Toyota Sienna was lifted easily by me which I am 5'2'. I can not budge the third row on my Quest. Overall I love the Van and would buy another one. I loved my Tahoe and the reason for trading was I am 5'2'. I got tired of climbing up and down. I would highly recommend it though. the Tahoe was a great vehicle.
2005 Nissan Quest - SE (A5)

Cons: Everything, especially the manufacturers attitude
Advice: DON'T BUY THIS OR ANY NEW MODELS FROM NISSANWe bought a 2006 fully loaded QUEST SE.A week after we got it home it started leaking and had to be taken in. The dealership had not told me that there was an outstanding Service Bulletin for leaks from the highly touted Skyview windows. Had we known we would have asked them to test for leaks before paying. We bought this car because we wanted to replace our old voyager because of leaks which led to mold and mildew probs. We have an asthamatic child and can't have that. Once they fixed the first leak they found another from the tail light assembly. The carpet got wet twice and the headliner twice. When we asked that they replace both with new ones, we were informed that Nissan won't cover this if there is no problem. This from a fully covered vehicle, with only 600 miles on it. 400 of those are from my trips for repairs to the dealer who is 80 miles away. Just got a call this morning to say they will replace the headliner but won't have one in for another week. The dealer has had our Quest longer( 1 month) than we have in our 1.5 months of 'ownership'. I had researched both Honda and Toyota and they don't have nearly the number of problems the Quest has, but we had had such good luck with our Maxima that we went with the Quest thinking they would have dealt with most of the problems 2 years after introducing a new model. Rotten egg smells, leaking skyview, leaking sunroof, airflow malfunctions, fuel pump failures and a multitude of other problems still plague the new year models. When 4 of Nissans 6 (Titan,Armada,Quest and Infinit QX56) new models are on the least reliable list, it gives you pause about the new purchase. SO BUYER BEWARE!!!!!
