    2002 Nissan Frontier - XE-V6 (M5) 4x4 Long Bed Crew Cab

    Pros: cool tailgate, very reliable.

Cons: Seats are not comfortable on a long haul.

    Advice: buy it

I bought this truck to replace my 2000 Nissan Frontier king cab truck. The 00 had been in a wreck in which the insurance people should have totalled it, but didn't (a classic case of the truck was never the same afterwards). I loved my '00, it took the crash well (hit in the rear passenger corner from someone losing control coming down an on ramp on the highway). I love my '02 also. Took a drivers side head on collision a few months after I bought it from a woman who turned left in front of me because she 'didn't see me ' drving down the road. Anyways, it handled the crash well and I was not injured, she on the other hand, driving a Nissan Altima, was - broken arm and totalled car. Anyways - I love my Nissan truck. The longbed is just big enough to get a scoop of gravel into it without any pouring on to the ground. The seats are pretty firm and can get annoying after a few hours of driving. The back seat is small, but a big improvement over jump seats. The A/C seems a little weak. I have about 97,000 miles on it right now and have not had any major problems. the four wheel drive engages pretty easily and holds its own in the snow. I drove home from Delaware in a major snowstorm and it never once lost its footing! I have had some rotor problems, but just needed to get them turned to within an inch of their life which was early on and covered under warranty. The digital odometer is not functioning properly, this started at around 80,000 miles, Everything else is great - no problems! I highly recommend this truck.

    2002 Nissan Frontier - SE-V6 (A4) 4x4 King Cab

Pros: Great torque for such a small truck.

    Cons: Cramped back seat.

Advice: Don't let the dealer try to sugar coat the MPG, it's not that good.

Nice comfortable ride with plenty of windows to open up those blind spots. Smooth shifting manual transmission with a peppy V6 provides sufficient torque running all the way up to 5th gear. I can go up long grades in cruise without have to downshift. I can fit a Suzuki Quad Runner 4X4 ATV in the box without any problem. On the downside lot's of roll on the corners and the back seat is cramped. Also the gas mileage is not much better than the GMC 1500HD I traded in. 15MPG with the GMC, only 17.7 for the Nissan. Maybe I just need to let up on the gas a little?

    2002 Nissan Frontier - SC-V6 (A4) 4x4 Long Bed Crew Cab

    Pros: Super Charger

    Cons: The stock street tires

Advice: Test drive this truck off the pavement

It out performs every mid-size truck that I've ever been in. I took it offroad and I couldn't feel the differance. A few extra inches of leg room in the rear seating area would be the only thing I'd change about this truck.

    2002 Nissan Frontier - XE-V6 (M5) 4x4 King Cab

    Pros: comfortable to drive

    Cons: cheap paint job

Advice: Listen for squeaking..... maybe look at other trucks first.

Watch for squeaks! I have had to take my truck in four times for the same squeaking noises coming from the back and also from the front. The mechanics don't all agree with what is wrong and are trying to fix it by process of illimination. First they said they just need to tighten some boolts...something to do with the suspension they said. Now they say it has something to do with the metal from the bumper touching metal somewhere else. And that the other squeaking noise was from dust in the back breaks. You do the match.... all I know is I'm not too happy with whatever the defects are.

    2002 Nissan Frontier - XE-V6 (M5) 4x4 King Cab

    Pros: 4x4 accessibility

Cons: the squeaks almost right away after we bought it.An ongoing problem.

    Advice: check for squeaks

The 4x4 crewcab is a very nice truck, but has alot squeaks under the bed area and front tires, the new molten lava pearl is a very nice color for this truck compared to other colors. We love how it can go just about anywhere. We are very happy with this truck except for the squeaks. And maybe we should have gotten the one with the longer bed.Either way we like it.

    2002 Nissan Frontier - SC-V6 (A4) 4x4 Standard Bed Crew Cab

Pros: 4 door and fits 5 people comfortably; short bed and can fit in standard garage; sporty look; tube roof rack

    Cons: not a smooth ride

    Advice: in my opinion

As a new female driver of a supercharge pickup, I am content with the power of the engine and feel comfortable with the visibility around the vehicle. I was previously an owner of a sedan coupe, so this truck seems to have less shock absorption, a bumpy ride. This truck was purchased to transport items that could not fit in an SUV, and it fits perfectly in a standard 2-car garage. Passengers in the rear seat fit comfortably during the ride (Crew Cab). I am still very happy with this new purchase. I cannot wait to add exterior accessories.
