Pros: Then V6 engine.
Cons: No power seat memory.
Advice: Shop several dealers against each other.Great looks, great engine & transmission. Some interior features on the cheap side, but none of the important features. Lots of storage space, great drink holders. A great family car for the young (and still alive) family.
Pros: Accelleration and Gas Milage
Advice: My sales person was excellent but watchout for con artists...BE PREPARED!I am have been a loyal Nissan consumer for almost a decade. My first car was a '86 200sx. My parents bought it for my my 16th b-day. At 156,000+ miles, it is a workhorse. I just bought a '02 Sentra GXE two weeks ago. I am very pleased. For an entry level car it has out performs most of the cars in its class. I would advise anyone who is just starting out like me to strongly consider the Sentra.
Advice: Negotiate vigorously when considering options/features!The 2002 Nissan Altima took my breath away! I tested the 2.5SL model and was amazed that a 4-cylinder could drive so powerfully. The acceleration is fantastic but be careful, it can really get away from you. This year's model is completely redesigned and is more attractive than its higher-priced big brother, the Maxima. The interior cabin is spacious and gorgeous, with soft comfortable leather. Large trunk, fold-down back seats. The new design is as stylish as some of the higher-end foreign cars such as the Audi A4 or VW Passat. I'm impressed to say the least.
Pros: Leg room both in front and in back
Cons: Absolutely nothing!
Advice: If you want a 5 speedDrive this car and love this car! Don't let the salesperson pitch you on the 4 cylinder. Get the 6 cylinder with the 240 hp. It's definitely worth it! I had a 97 Jetta prior and loved that car. I was considering getting a 2002 Jetta but they just don't have the horsepower. You want speed? Get the 3.5 SE!
Pros: STYLING & COMFORT.
Cons: LIMITED WARRANTY RATHER THAN BUMPER-TO-BUMPER
Advice: COMPARE AND THEN TEST DRIVE THE VEHICLE.I WENT IN THE DEALERSHIP TO LOOK AT A NEW MAXIMA AND I ENDED UP TAKING A TEST DRIVE IN THE NEW ALTIMA WITH THE 2.5L ENGINE AND I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE PLEASED. INITIALLY, I THOUGHT I WANTED THE 3.5L (6-CYL) BUT I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH THE GET UP AND GO ON THE 2.5L WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION THAT I PURCHASED THE MODEL WITH THE 2.5L ENGINE AND I HAVE NOT REGRETTED MY DECISION SO FAR...
Pros: The whole interior - it looks and feels like a much nicer car than the price indicates
Cons: Some of the exterior styling isn't as modern looking as the other cars I looked at
Advice: Definitely get it, but don't get radium like I did! Get a pretty color! This vehicle is an excellent choice if you are in the market for a small sedan. The interior styling is great, you get loads of features, and for much less than some other cars with very cheap looking interiors and half the features. My car has been nothing but reliable so far, and from what I know of Nissan, I expect nothing less in the future. I highly recommend it!
Pros: Great combination of power and economy
Cons: firm suspension doesn't soak up bumps as well as some other cars
Advice: Be sure to test drive this vehicle before choosing another car.Looks great. Handles and corners well. Plenty of power from the 175 hp 4 cyl. engine. Reasonably quiet. Smooth transmission shifts. Lots of standard equipment. Very good milage.
