Pros: ROOMY, THE BOSE SYSTEM, LEATHER INTERIOR
Advice: CHECK FOR THAT VIBRATIONI PURCHASED MY ARMADA IN DEC. 2004. I'VE HAD TO TAKE IT TO THE SHOP TWICE SINCE I PURCHASED IT. NO DOUBT IT'S A BEAUTY AND THE PERFORMANCE IS GREAT. THERE IS ONE PROBLEM, 'THE BRAKING SYSTEM'. THE TRUCK VIBRATES TERRIBLY WHEN ACCELERATING OVER 70 MPH OR MORE. THE TECHNICIAN AT THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT THE ROTORS ARE TOO THIN ON THE 2004 ARMADAS, THEREFORE WHEN ACCELERATING HIGH SPEED OR DRIVING ON UNEVEN SURFACES, IT WARPS THE ROTORS CAUSING THE VIBRATION.
Pros: The room and the ride, ease of use on the rear DVD
Advice: Get the Navigation and the DVD (if you have kids)We love the ride and the room, family friendly. Rotors warp every 3-6000 miles (need to be upgraded). Navigation System is great(when working) Rear DVD is absolutly awesome! We love to take trips in it with the 3 boys. I have 2nd row buckets so we have to use 3rd row seats, not much room behind it so we bought a roof top carrier for long trips, works great.
Pros: Automatic seat control and power rear door
Cons: Taking it back to dealer to repair the apparent brake/handling problem
Advice: Be aware that Nissan opening acknowledges (after purchase) that they have problems with the brakes and steering of the Armada and the TitanTest drive went fine. It's the problems that developed after purchase that are troubling.
Cons: Drivers seat too flat
Advice: EnjoyPower is unbeleivable, towed a 6500 pound boat at 65 MPH up Vail pass. There are some rattles but the size, legroom and power make up for that. Gas mileage is better than my underpowered Expedition.
Pros: comfortable cabin
Cons: poor quality of the fit and finish
Advice: Please listen carefully before you buyI love everything about my 2004 Armada...except the constant ticking noise and rattling upon acceleration that I have been told by 3 Nissan service mechanics is coming from my fuel injectors. There are other miscellaaneous cabin sounds, like rattling in dashboard and fluttering sound when you hit a bump. My advice is listen carefully before you buy. On my test drive, I heard sounds that I assumed could be repaired under warranty, but Nissan North America says it is aware of the fuel injector noise, but there is no way to fix it at this time, instead they call it a 'customary sound'. If it bothers you on test drive, please assume that it won't get better. It is an expensive mistake to think otherwise. If anyone else has the same fuel injector noise I would love to hear from you via email.
Pros: The space & the feel of this ride
Cons: vibration at 70 mph.
Advice: buy in Nov for that year...we got a GREAT DEALSmooth!!! Over all it was, hands down, the most comfortable ride with the most room. We tried the ford expedition & gmc yukon denali, while the denali was a sweet ride the leg room in the back fell short. The ford had a rough ride, more like a truck. If I am going to spend the money I want a smooth ride. Biggest issue is there is a slight vibration at 70 mph.
Pros: Great sense of room
Cons: Braking seemed less responssive vs the Yukon
Advice: Beat the dealers up they want to move the inventory I got mine $4,000 under the best deal from GM on a new DenaliI first rented this brand on a business trip to No. Carolina I owned a 99 Yukon & was loyal to GMC. Simply this UTE blew me away...along with my Yukon Handling great Accelerator response WOW overall nice feel sporty ride no bounce via the suspension...got home to NH got one really happy
