2010 Nissan Altima
Submitted on 8/19/2010 3:56:49 PM- Summary
Not inspiring but reliable
Pros: Gas mileage
Cons: Rattles and brakes
Good ride but lots of rattles. Good gas mileage with the 4 cylinder but not very responsive. Not a big fan of the CVT transmission. It is smooth but slow off the line. Be careful pulling into traffic. Roomy inside with a large trunk. Nice feel to most interior materials. Brakes are not good. They are very touchy and noisy. I have had the pads replaced twice in 25k miles. Key fob is kind of annoying because it is constantly setting off the alarm or rolling down the windows or unlocking the doors. I guess it's because of kneeling down and putting pressure on it when it's in my pocket. Paint has several rock chips for a car that sees little hwy miles. Not sure if the paint is thin or of poor quality or maybe I'm just unlucky. Would not but again.

2010 Nissan Altima
Submitted on 7/9/2010 8:45:32 AM- Summary
super buy feature for feature
Pros: cv transmission with manual shift feature
Cons: have to buy costly package to get fog lights
i shopped most comparable size and priced autos. fusion, accord, malibu, sonata, milan. to be sure i added nissan altima last. one drive and I was hooked and wife agreed. after two months and 2400 miles not a single problem. rides and drives like a much bigger auto. 34.1 mpg on long trip. 25-27 around town. three minor snits for me: no auto daytime driving lights[required in canada so i know it wouln't be a costly feature] , power retention when shutting down does not go to radio, only windows. to get fog lights must buy about$1000 package or $500 after market. nothing I can't live without but for such a fine vehicle it should happen.

My First Nissan
Pros: The Leather Interior
Cons: The options are pricey!
I purchased the 2010 Altima 2.5 SL in July and I have to admit it's a very well made car. I have about 4400 miles on it thus far and drove it on two road trips over this past summer. It's sporty fun to drive with good handling and gets very good gas milage which is a plus since I commute using I-95 to work each morning. Anyone who is on the fence deciding whether to purchase the Altima don't hesitate to take the plunge! You won't be dissapointed.
