    2005 Nissan Altima

Best Car I've Ever Owned (of 15)

    Pros: Great appearance

Cons: The paint chips or scratches easily

The car is dependable, rides good and looks great. It has good power for a 4 cylinder. The interior is roomy, looks good, and has a quality feel to it. No glitches - everything still works fine after 5 years and 88,000 miles. Interior does not have a 'worn' look - still clean and colors crisp. The gas mileage is excellent. I usually average about 28 mpg or so, but If I nurse it I can get 30 mpg overall. On the highway, I get 34 mpg at 65, and 32 mpg at 70. My only complaint is the paint - it's a very thin skin - nicks easy and scratches easy. That's the only negative thing I can say about the car (that's why I gave only 4 stars for Quality). I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.

    2005 Nissan Altima

    DEPENDABLE LOW MAINTENANCE VEHICLE

Pros: Performance of 4 cylinder automatic has great acceleration.

    Cons: Bumpy ride

Our 2005 Altima 2.5S has over 90,000 miles on it and has been a very dependalble car with no problems except the usual maintenance like tires, battery and brakes. Ride is kind of choppy because of the low profile tires, but otherwise a great car. Not even any rust in an area that is known for rust problems. Smooth running car that we can count on.

    2005 Nissan Altima - 2.5 S (50 State) (M5)

    Pros: Smooth Ride

Cons: Body seems more malleable than should be

Advice: Please test drive few Nissans and consider space, style & experience!

Just purchased my 2005 Altima 2.5SL...its HOT. Love the leather, the Bose system, the sunroof...the performance tires are so worth it! Going from 2002 Saturn SL1 to an Altima...is a ridiculous change up! It's BLISS! Drives well, great shocks/suspension, sounds great, & wow, do I get LOOKED AT while driving around !! Loving my new ride thusfar!!

    2005 Nissan Altima - 3.5 SL (50 State) (A5)

    Pros: Powerful V6 engine

Cons: horrible OEM tires and turning radius of a semi truck

Advice: Look the car over carfully for flaws or ill fitting trim pieces and body moldings

Traded in an 01 VW 'New' Passat with 90k miles that had developed a major love affair with the VW service department. Wanted the SE but being at the end of the 05 model year and lots full of 06 models, I chose to go with the 05 3.5SL with below invoice pricing minus rebate and lease tax credits. The Passat handled little better and had much better seats but the Altima is all around very nice car. Few minor quality issues, trim pieces mainly, an easy fix. Almost 30k miles later and am still happy. Only couple of complaints, turning radius is huge, battery died in less than a year (Not the car's fault plus Nissan replaced under warranty, cost me 30 bucks out the door), I've locked myself out twice (again, not the car's fault, I'm just an idiot at times) and the tires. (Whoever picked these horrible tires should be popped in the back of the head!) Somehow though when you punch it and that powerful V6 zigs you past the slow pokes, all is right with the world. Definitly worth a look!

    2005 Nissan Altima - 3.5 SE-R (M6)

Pros: Power and great sounding exhaust.

Cons: The honeycomb style grille, I changed mine to a mean looking chrome grille.

Advice: I bought one without traction control (optional) and it would be nice to have.

Car is so much fun to drive and has an abundance of power for the price. I originally questioned its handling when I saw how long the car, but after test driving the car it handles exceptionally well thanks to the choice looking 18's. The car has plenty of room inside both front and back, as well as confortable leather heated front seats. I recommend the 6-speed for a true sense of its maximized power. Once you drive this reasonably priced car(If you know how to negotiate and eliminate the sales dweebs they usually having working the showroom floors.)you will want to own one. Did I mention the Bose 6 disc radio that will enhance your listening experience and enough volume to have your ears itching from all the vibration.
