Pros: 5 cylinder
Cons: no fog lights2011 Jetta, bang for your buck~
Pros: Manual gearbox, flawless shifting feel
Cons: iPod connector optionWe've owned our Sportwagen for 3 months and 4,000 miles, includes driving 2,000 miles at Christmas. So far, the quibbles have been minor compared to the positives. Handling and shifting are superb, seats and steering column are very adjustable (although my wife finds the front seats a touch too narrow). Gas mileage is as per the EPA (23 city, 33 highway). The lie-flat rear seats are a real plus for hauling large objects in the back. We're having problems with the iPod connector that the dealer is going to work on soon. But overall, we're very satisfied.
Decent little SUV
Pros: Seat comfort
Cons: Highway noiseOverall, very decent vehicle. The only downsides so far...1) very noisy highway driving, and 2) rides like a small car (previous car was 02 Passat)
Pros: Luxury and Performance
Cons: High maintenance costI have owned my 2004 Touareg (V8) since new and enjoyed every moment of ownership. All aspects of the SUV (power, construction quality, comfort, etc.) are outstanding except the high cost of wear items, e.g. brakes, rotors, etc., but this is a small price to pay for a vehicle that provides so much joy to drive. Although the Touareg weighs in at 5300 lbs., the 310 HP motor will provide plenty of power to propel the SUV from stand-still and roll-on in a manner that almost makes you believe you are in a sports car. By the way, I also own a BMW M5 that I enjoy driving but for all purpose driving I pick the Touareg.
Good looks, quick and agile
Pros: The exterior
Cons: It probably rides a little low at times going over speed bumpsI've owned SUV's until I bought a 2009 Jetta, but I kept looking at the CC. So I finally bought it for much less than I thought it would cost me. The looks? I was at a StarBucks and overheard a couple talking about my car. They were estimating the cost around 35-40K. I decided to let them in on the secret: 2011 for around 27K. It is very smooth riding and that 2.0T has more snap and acceleration than many V8's I've had.
This is a great car for northern California. It is sporty and seasonal.
