Advice: try to drive for more than a short ride, compare to others for front seat comfort.Reason I bought: rear seat can actually accommodate adults in some comfort as long as front seats are not too far back. Has ALL the safety features I wanted -- side curtain, active head restraints, stability control, and roof that meets 2010 IIHS testing standards. Very safe vehicle. I like: ride is tolerable, brakes (though soft) are very effective, steering is slow but that's appropriate -- it's a truck. Engine has good torque at low RPMs and can climb hills in 5th gear turning 1000 rpm when poking around town. This probably saves gas. MPG is OK -- getting 17.5 around town even before break-in. I like the rear-view camera. The rear seat is wide enough for an adult and two kids in car seats. I don't like: front seat bottoms (seat pans) are too low. They should incorporate adjustable seat height mechanisms from 4-runner. Dead pedal on left for driver is too narrow and too short. Truck downshifts excessively (two gears down) after turns around town, even when truck is driven very gently. This seems unnecessary and results in a brief racing of the engine followed by a hard upshift. Engine is a bit loud and harsh on acceleration, and I get some vibration at idle. I hate the beeping when locked and unlocked. I had to unplug the damn thing.

Advice: Dont buy it!!!2007 Model Crewmax 5.7 4x4 What a piece of junk, terrible in the snow, starting to rust underneath,chrome plated plastic is pitting,it seems to get dings like crazy since its body is like tin. The engine is a modified lexus motor that revs high, no power loaded down. Terrible gas mileage, about 11-12 mpg combined, not good for such a light truck. Paint is very light, least little pebble causes it to chip. Tight in the rear, no leg room. Don't buy this truck, they don't even give you a deal at purchase because they think Toyota doesn't need cash back to sell. Well after owning this one, I can tell you that this truck will fail again. Even the doors feel light, not truck like. Under the Maintenance Interval it says to “TIGHTEN THE CHASSIS MOUNT BOLTS” and “RE-TORQUE PROPELLER SHAFT BOLT” every 5,000 miles under towing conditions. And every 15,000 miles if you drive normal. This could indicate the 3 frame to make one (uni-body) are not as strong as advertied. At 30,000 you need to replace the SPARK PLUGS no matter if your towing or not. At 60,000 it recommends the “INSPECT THE ENGINE VALVE CLEARENCE” if you have been towing. Buy a F-150 of Ram
