Advice: get the V-6get the V-6. Compared with CRV. Rav4 got the nod. Overall, Toyota makes an awesome vehicle.
Pros: Gas-only $24 to fill up & trunk space.
Cons: Not enough cup holders.
Advice: Don't buy it for space, go with a big car.very smooth driving, quiet, great pick up for a small car. Great in gas.
Pros: Powerful engine
Cons: Only has 1 keylock for 5 doors
Advice: Get onePulls a hair to the left if you stomp down on the gas. Getting about 23 mpg mixed driving 87 octane.
Pros: The removeable rear seats - great for when you need to do some light hauling.
Cons: the way that the rear door opens, it swing out to the side instead of lifting up.
Advice: Don't hesitate! It's a great little car!Great handling - tight on turns, good pickup for an engine of it's size, great visibility. The seat can be elevated for improved vision. Overall great smooth ride.
Pros: The handling is great and the V-6 is fast but good MPG.
Cons: Wish second row seats were softer.
Advice: Take a V-6 for a test drive and enjoy the ride. This is my first RAV. Only 300 miles on it. Replacing my 99 Toyota Sienna minivan since my grandaughters have grown up and don't need the room. The Rav handles great. Very responsive steering and brakes. V-6 very quick. First tankful I got 22 MPG (40% city/60% highway)and was told by the dealer that the MPG would get better as it is broke in. Hoping to get 28 to 30 MPG on the highway. Well worth the extra money for more power and higher resale value of the V-6. Got mine loaded at $500 above invoice. Ordered it 3-8-06.
Pros: The great open views it offers.
Cons: Basic model is basic...you get what you pay for.
Advice: Dont waste your time with other like models. Toyota is the best deal for the money !I just purchased the RAV4 yesterday. I bought the basic model with the 4 cylinder. Several weeks ago I purchased a 4Runner. You cannot beat the ride, comfort, and Toyota quality. I look at some of the competitors models. This is my 3rd Toyota truck, and I have NEVER had trouble with any of them. The interior is comfortable and can handle the rigors of my big cowboy body.
Pros: Speed, handling, comfort (Sport V6)
Cons: 4 week wait (for desired model w/ options etc)
Advice: Buy it!This is not what you think a Rav4 is. My wife just bought one (V6 Sport), and I think like it more than my Sequoia! The V6 is QUICK. Actually, side-by-side to my neighbors 2006 BMW 330i, 0-75 was 2 lengths faster. And talk about interior space! Its like sitting in a warehouse! The JBL stereo is excellent, too. Buy one. And buy it before the dealers realize what they have and start inflating the price.
