2005 Suzuki Aerio SX - (M5) FWD Hatchback

Pros: Combo of seat comfort and ride comfort. Does not beat you up on an all day drive.

Cons: Most challenging is the auto climate control system. I like it, but still trying to understand it totally.

Advice: Drive one before you choose the Matrix! Am certainly glad I stumbled across it.

First saw and drove the sx nearly a year before purchase. Was put off by the lack of dealers and rare model and tried to like the Toy Matrix, and drove it several times. In the end, just so much prefer the ride, seats, design and feel that bought this one about thanksgiving time 04. Bottom line is both the lady and I love the little car. We are retired and love the ease of entry and exit and the high seating position. Just got back from 1700 mi trip up coast of CA on hwy 1, which is a snakes trail of a road with wonderful views and it was a delight. Am a retired eng. and was reluctant to choose the oddball brand, but so far very glad we did.

2005 Suzuki Aerio SX - w/AWD AWD AWD Hatchback

    Pros: Rear hatchback area

    Cons: Speedo dial only names 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 130

Advice: Buy it with 60 mo. 1.9 financing

AWD model a little sluggish but living in the upper midwest I opted for the AWD wagon for commuting confidence...the viscous AWD allows the application of the rear drive only when needed keeping the gas mileage reasonable for a vehicle of this type. Roomy, comfortable, ton of standard features, kickin' standard stereo, quirky looks, bold dash look, climate control, good torque, variable height driver's seat, and pretty good handling all work for me.

2005 Suzuki Aerio SX - (M5) FWD Hatchback

Pros: Six cd holder w/ seven speakers which includes a subwoofer under the drivers seat. Replaced cd player for a touch screen Navi system for '04 to keep the look of a furture looking car.

Cons: Location of power mirrors button is on the left hand dash which was relocated in the '05 model on the left hand side of the power mirrors. Seats in '04 tend to collect a lot of lent and staict new fabic for '05

Advice: I looked at different makes and models and this one came on top in all corners. Toyota Matrix expensive, Scion xB no power/car blows around in windy areas, Ponitac Vibe (no better then an Ford) should be call a Bad Vibe two cars died on test drive.

Bought an '04 model and fell in love then bought an '05 for my girl Both models are excellent in features and in warrenty. Bought the extened warrenty which covers bumper to bumper for 7 years unheard of in other factory models.

2005 Suzuki Aerio SX - w/AWD AWD AWD Hatchback

    Pros: AWD

Cons: Beeping noise if you don't buckle your seat belt

Advice: Suzuki is little known, but their quality, warranty, and price are better than your other options

I test drove the Aerio and the best thing that I could say about it was that it handed phenomenally. I found myself taking corners in this car at a much higher rate of speed just to see how hard I could push it. 155 horsepower may not seem like too much but when you step on the gas, you get going. I loved the new upholstery for 05 and the seats are so comfortable. I'm 6' 200 lbs and I can sit in the back seat easily. Like any other shopper, I shopped around at other dealers and no one could come close to matching the amount of comfort, safety and performance features for even close to the price. Throw in all wheel drive in a car for under $18000 and it's a no brainer

    2002 Suzuki Aerio SX - (M5)

    Pros: Cargo space

Cons: A few sqeaks and rattles

Advice: Take a look at this car even though not often mentioned by the car publications

The main reason I bought the car was the cargo room. I take road trips with 3 small dogs plus food and gear for 2 everything fits. I have gotten 17 bags of woodchip mulch in the back as well as 45 1 gallon plants plus landscape supplies. With its combination of price, cargo room, features and good MPG I highly reccommend this car. A better value than other small wagons and much better a mini SUV. I have had no quality issues, but unfortunately I bought before Suzuki upgraded the warranty program.

    2002 Suzuki Aerio SX - (M5)

    Pros: Back seat room

    Cons: No arm rest

Advice: Look at other cars first, because once you drive this you will not want any other car

We already have a 2001 Vitara, and were surprised that this car has more room than the SUV does. I have been impressed with not only the gas milege but the ability to get in and out of place with ease. I love the room in the back, and unlike the Vitara I can drive (6ft tall 300lbs) and my father who is 6'2 can sit behind me with no problem. I totally love this car, and I am in the process of buying the 2004 version.
