2004 Subaru Impreza - WRX (M5) Sedan
Pros: handling
Cons: cup holder are too small. only fits size for a regular coke can
Advice: The only thing better is next year's model!
Best car I have ever driven. Excellent handling. No matter what corner lies ahead this car can take it. -
2006 Subaru Legacy - i Limited (A4) Wagon
Pros: Dual moonroof
Cons: Power locks - they are reverse from what you would think it would be logically (but you get used to it)
Advice: Get it, you won't be sorry.
This is a review for the 2006 2.5i Limited with manual transmission. I have had this car for almost two weeks. I have driven it almost 1,000 miles in that time. I have been on the freeway, highway, side streets, and dirt roads. Up hill going fast and uphill going slow (due to conditions). This is just an excellent vehicle. If you are NOT towing anything or hauling particularly heavy loads, I don't know why anyone would opt for the turbo or V6 with the higher gas prices and lower MPG. On a four hour trip which was mostly freeway and about 60% of the trip was at speeds of 75 mile an hour (or slightly higher : )) I averaged 30.0 MPG. Can you beat that for a car like this? -
2005 Subaru Impreza - WRX (M5) Wagon
Pros: Symmetrical all-wheel drive
Cons: lack of 'standard' features
Advice: don't pay more than sticker
Have only test driven this car (will buy later this year). It's been quite a few years since I had to give up my turbo RX-7, and I figured it was time to step into a fast car again. The blend of function and speed made this car appear quickly on my list. This car was very responsive, quick, no lean on tight curves, and a stupid smile quickly appeared on my face. Cons: for the cost of the base model, you don't even get the spoiler or sunroof (my VW Golf has heated seats and a sunroof), also, the road noise is much worse than the impreza RS. Thirdly, I think the fog lights should be standard and I'm not all that impressed with the design of the back end. Pros: FAST, with LOTS of torque (compare with the more-expensive RX-8). Also, while the RX-8s and mustangs of the street will be stuck at home in inclement weather, this all wheel drive - low center of gravity beast will be flying through the snow and mountain passes. If I have to give up some creature comforts for the advanced performance and engineering, I think it's worth it. -
2006 Subaru Impreza - WRX TR (M5) Sedan
Pros: Handling
Cons: giant head rests - cant see well when i back out.
Advice: Definately worth the $$
Love this car. Solid build. a Million times better than my sentra. definately the best compact out there. cant beat AWD in New Jersey.... -
2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi - w/Gold-Painted
Pros: AWD
Cons: CD Player. Has been replaced twice.
Advice: If you need AWD in a small package, there's none better
Love my Impreza Wagon. Keep up with the routine maintenance and she'll treat you well. Decent pickup for a relatively economical car, great handling in all weather (I live in New England, so I see it all), and the hatchback holds plenty. -
2005 Subaru Legacy - i (M5) Wagon
Pros: Roadhandling and control, durability and style.
Cons: Leg room and head room. The car was not made for people that are 6.'7
Advice: Get a manual if you like control on icy roads. Get an automatic if you prefer to be lazy.
We bought an '05 Outback manual drive. It has plenty of power to get up the mountain with 3 people and gear, although the turbo version would be faster. It handles amazing on windy and slippery roads. It is defenitely superior to any 4x4 and all-wheel drive I've ever driven on snow. The interior of the car is very stylish yet practical. I love the refined look of the front. By the way, I'm getting over 29 miles to the gallon! -
2006 Subaru Impreza - WRX TR (M5) Sedan
Pros: The wheels and the turbo
Cons: Needs more power at lower rpms
Advice: Buy this car if you like fast&fun!
The car is a fun sporty ride that will get you noticed. The power at 3000 rpms is a head jerk. Price is right on the money at 23 grand. It is a whole lot of car for a little bit of money!
