Pros: scrolling dash information, safety features
Cons: smallish engine
Advice: Ask about all the features and prices before you end negotiationsSafe and stylish. Everything you expect from a Mercedes.
Pros: The Vehicles design and power.
Cons: There is nothing you really dislike, but as I stated above, I do miss the accoustic base in the stereo.
Advice: Awesome, awesome, awesome. If you can spare a little bit more in your budget, this is a must get car! While my last four vehicles have been either Honda or Acura from my 93 Prelude Si, 94 Integra, 97 Prelude and now my 2002 RSX-S, I never thought I could be more pleased. But again, were talking Honda. This RSX-S has to be the best affordable sports car on the market. The power with which it is equipped with is a huge improvement over my 97 Prelude. I cannot get over the low end and high end power and accelaration. Getting used to a 6 speed is a little different for those 5 gear folks like myself but, now I wouldn't trade it for the world. The ride is extremely smooth, the controls are big and right at finger tips. The in-dash 6 CD changer and the Bose stereo system have terrific sound, although I do miss the big bass Accoustic sound my 97 Prelude had but, the system is still very clear and has good bass with the subwoofer surrouned by the spare tire. The seats are very comfortable leather with plenty of leg room (front and back). The look of the car is a very sharp, fast and impressive style, especially if you get the underbody spoiler kit for an additional $2000, but well worth it. Trunk space is huge and there is a cover to hide your goodies when at a store. The four year/50,000 mile warranty is another perk of Acura. This is an all around great luxury/sports car for those of us not yet able to purchase a Porshe.
Pros: The way the console is set up, everything is with in a short arm's reach! And the voice automated radio, telephone, and air temperate is a great feature in this unique Mercedes-Benz.
Cons: The thing that I was disappointed in was, the leg room in the back seats. It can fit children comfortably, but it wouldnt suit an adult that was back there, especially in long road trips.
Advice: I strongly recommend the new Mercedes-Benz C-320 to any buyers on the Market. You get alot for only 37,000 dollars. Dont pass up this chance! On September 4th 2001, I went to the local Mercedes-Benz dealership here in Fresno, California. I saw a rather unique, smooth looking Mercedes. I walked around the car, and noticed all the fine detail, and work that has been put into it. This car was a 2002 Mercedes-Benz C320, it was white, with beige leather, and a fine looking wood trim. It didnt take much to flag down one of the dealership salesman. He insisted that I sit in the front seat. I didnt waist anytime, what-so-ever. I got in the car, and felt the soft leather. The interior was outstanding. Well, not as outstanding as it's relative the S-500. But for a 34,000 - 40,000 dollar car...The interior was great. After I was done admiring the car. I asked to test drive it. So that salesman went and got the keys for the car. The engine hardly makes a sound when you start it up. The sales man drove the car off the lot, and on to the road. It was almost like I was floating on a cloud, the ride was so smooth. After we had gone down the street, the salesman got out, and let me in the driver seat. I started up the engine, and gently started to drive off. The car handles very well. It handles every turn with little effort at all. This car also feels so strong and sturdy. If you want the feeling of safety, this is the car to get. This interior isnt roomy, but it is roomy enough that you are comfortable. It is a very cozy car, and you will enjoy driving it. After my fun was over, it was time to go back to the dealership. And I didnt want to waist any time. I ended up buying the car that day. My wife loves it...It seems like she drives it more often than I do!
Pros: Standard Cd player/Bose 6-speaker stereo
Cons: Exterior look isn't what i was looking for, but the interior/driving capabilities more than made up for it.
Advice: Just drive the car. You won't know what its like until you sit behind the wheel and drive it yourselfI just test drove the car yesterday, and I loved it. From the moment I opened the door and looked past the exterior, I knew that this was the car I wanted. The seats keep you comfortable, the standard CD player...Then i took it out for a spin. The shifting is like no other car i have ever driven, so smooth. The general quietless on the road, not to mention the bose stereo to drown out any road noise that might occur. What can i say i fell in love with the car from the minute i pulled out of the parking lot.
Pros: The Mercedes quality.
Cons: The hatchback.
Advice: Don't get the cheap cloth interior. The leather is worth its priceDriving the C230 was similar to driving a BMW 325. The car was extremely quiet inside, and the leather was top-notch for a car of this price. This car was the best car we went into.
Pros: The leather bucket seats. Wrap around you like a glove and keep you very comfortable on those long drives. And the shifting on the 5spd is very smooth
Cons: The holes where the foglights are supposed to go if you don't have them. Just looks like something is missing. I have a feeling I'll be having those installed shortly to complete the look
Advice: Definitely test drive it - don't go by looks alone. And consider spending the little extra for the leather interior and the optional spoiler. Worth every penny.Just picked up my car on Tuesday and abolutely love it. Corners as well as - if not better than - more expensive sports cars, looks fantastic, handles very well. Lots of power even if you don't get the Type-S. Many safety features make you feel very secure and comfortable. I have no doubt this will be the best car I have ever owned. And the looks - the interior looks very modern with the titanium finish and round dials - the exterior is very sporty and looks even better with the optional rear wing spoiler
Pros: Mix of power and handling
Cons: sound of the trunk
Advice: keep an eye on your speedometer! My first experience of the WRX was on a drive from Santa Fe to Taos, NM. Traffic was crawling up the twisty Rio Grande Gorge at around 50mph with little chance to overtake. Finally as a clear straight came up I chopped down a couple of gears and the turbo kicked in like a swift kick in the pants. Before I knew it the car accelerated to 90 and I was back in my lane safe and sound. I was sold!!! The chassis is great, providing sure-footed handling. The seats are very comfortable and the Momo steering wheel is sweet. Sure, there are a couple of quibbles - the doors and trunk are pretty tinny and the body is an acquired taste (which did grow on me) but overall I cannot think of any car that offers as much fun for the buck as the WRX on the American market. How about a Mitsi Evolution, Nissan Godzilla or Lotus Elise for the U.S. market to see what the rest of the world gets?!?
