    2002 Toyota Celica - GTS (M6)

    Pros: Handling

    Cons: Visibility

Advice: Buy a manual celica. If you don't know stick, then learn!

The 2000+ celica is a great blend of looks, fun, performance, and practicality. The car handles great and has impressive acceleration for such a small engine. It takes some getting used to, but once you are acquainted with the high-reving 4-banger, you can really fly in this car. The hatchback trunk is huge and gets even bigger with the rear seats folded down. The GT-S gets good fuel mileage, but this is somewhat offset by its premium gas requirement. So if you want something unique, reliable, and fun, go for the celica.

    2002 Honda Civic - EX (M5) Coupe

    Pros: Sunroof & Keyless entry

    Cons: Needs more horsepower

Advice: The upgrade to EX is definitely worth it.

I purchased my Civic EX a week ago. I absolutely love it. For those in the market to buy a new car, the Civic is a perfect blend of style, safety, and price. You get a great deal for the money. If I could change anything with the Civic, it would be more Horsepower. The “get up and go” is just enough to make it acceptable… but I would like more. Overall I am obviously very happy with my choice. Kathy – Sacramento California

    2002 Volkswagen GTI - VR6 (EOP 9/16/01) (M5)

    Pros: The VR6 Engine

Cons: Entry to the backseat is a bit weird

Advice: Wait for the 2002 version which is supposedly going to have even more horses

Traded in my $35,000 (96 prices) 3-series BMW for a 2001 GTI and this car kicks the BMW's ass. Have had the GTI for just over a year now and have had zero problems with the car and it is still a blast to drive. Quality, performance, comfort, style, and features are comparable or beat cars that are much more expensive.

    2002 Honda Civic - EX (M5) Sedan

Pros: The moonroof and cruise control (a must have for me)

    Cons: The small-car

Advice: Do your online research first.

This car handles very well. The ride is rougher than I was used to but then I was currently driving a larger car and used to a smoother ride. However, I enjoyed the test drive so much I bought it!

    2002 Volkswagen GTI - L (M5)

    Pros: INTERIOR ROOM

Cons: Outside mirrors should be enlarged

Advice: Buy it before the price goes up

Kudos to VW for making a compact and roomy auto that is fun to drive. I am 6'3' tall and I have plenty of head, sholder and leg room. The car has plenty of cargo room. Acceleration and handeling performance are outstanding for any vehicle, particularly one priced less than $25,000. I have never owned a VW befor, so long as VW continues to provide this kind of quality and value, I will be a loyal customer!
