2002 Nissan Maxima - GLE (A4)
Pros: Xenon HID lights
Cons: there was nothing that I did not like
Advice: test drive one and see for yourselfI test drove the new 2002 Maxima GLE and I decided to buy it. The 3.5 L engine is very powerful. Car handle nice and the brake well. Purchased it fully loaded for less than $30,000. The styling of this car make it stand out. I really like the Xenon HID lights that light up the night. The car is quite rommy but being a tall driver, I could use more leg room. I have always owned domestic vehicles and the build quality of Nissan's is execellant!!!! The car exceeded my expectations...
2002 Chevrolet Impala - LS
Pros: sporty appearance and On-Star
Cons: Some shifting slip in the overdrive between 50 & 60 mph when trying to hold at 55 mph
Advice: Encourage dealers to extend the 0% financing. Keep the industry manufacturing for at least 6 months to a year.Easy to handle, sporty feeling, excellent acceleration, comfortable seating for passengers in front and rear.
2002 Honda Accord - 3.0 EX w/Leather (A4) Sedan
Pros: sun roof
Cons: nothing really. I love it
Advice: own it for a long time, it'll pay off in the long run.Smooth and quiet. Bought at Honda World in Orange County, excellent price. We got the full, tricked out model with mud flaps, spoiler, wheel locks, etc. It still cost less than the MSRP base model.
2002 Ford Taurus - SES Standard (300A) Sedan
Pros: Comfortable ride, stylish looks
Cons: Power antenna not available
Advice: Test drive it, you'll love itA pleasure to drive. Vehicle drives and handles very impressively. Quiet ride, very responsive acceleration. Great sound system.
2002 Volkswagen Passat - GLS (M5) FWD Sedan
Pros: tightness of the car
Cons: Turbo noise from the engine
Advice: Drive it on an open road to check out the noise levelIt's a great car...just too noisy. The turbo makes the engine sound loud.
2002 Pontiac Grand Prix - GT Coupe
Pros: Monsoon Stereo System
Cons: Cup holders are well located, but feel a little weak.
Advice: GMAC has some terrific lease programs. Don't be afraid to lease instead of buying.I decided I wanted a change from my 1995 GMC Sierra 4x4, and went in search of something sportier. The aggressive styling and classic lines of the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT caught my eye right away, and the test drive was nothing short of exhilirating. Six cylinders of pure power set me back into my seat as we zoomed down the entrance ramp to the highway. Steering was responsive without being sloppy, and the handling was as smooth as it was impressive. Dual climate controls make the ride that much more comfortable for both the driver and the passenger, and the Monsoon stereo system fills the cabin with top quality sound. The sleek GT styling draws attention wherever it goes, and the position and design of the power moonroof provides a nice air flow without mussing a single hair. This car has all the attitude of it's cousin, the Firebird, without the rough sportscar ride and without drawing too much attention from the folks with the radar guns. There's plenty of room for passengers in the back, and the cavernous trunk will accomodate lots of luggage for that weekend road trip. A great value, this car is a must drive for anyone looking for a little excitment without sacrificing practicality.
2002 Acura TL - Base
Pros: Memory positions of seats and mirrors for two drivers.
Cons: Tilt wheel needs to tilt up more. Can't clean rear inside glass easily, esp. behind rear stoplight.
Advice: Check for 3 recalls about seat belts.Handles very well. Accelerates easily with ample power. Accelerator is sensitive to foot pressure. Some wind noise with sunroof open at highway speeds.
