    2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue - GLS

Pros: Power driver seat with memory feature.

Cons: Transmission downshifts trying to maintain speed. Noisy.

Advice: This is an underpowered vehicle. The transmission and engine works overtime.

Other reviewers, including professionals, fail to mention that this vehicle is underpowered. They say it has adequate power. Don't believe it! The 3.4 engine just doesn't get it. There is a continual downshifting and upshifting annoyance when driving on the slightest uphill grades, even on interstates. That translates into transmission and engine overwork and noise, bigtime. Most other aspects of this vehicle are highly commendable, both interior and exterior.

    2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue - GLS

    Pros: seats

Cons: can't use my favorite coffee cups- too big around

Advice: don't test drive unless you plan to buy

The seats on the GLS sold us. Much more comfortable than the competition. Engine is very responsive any really gets up and goes. I had really planned to buy a Honda Accord but this car has it all over the Accord. I've only put about 1100 miles on it but very impressed.

2002 Oldsmobile Alero - GLS Coupe

Pros: Performance Package with all season hi speed performance radial tires

Cons: Some wind noise comes through - could be a little more quiet

Advice: Good price; 5yr /60,000 provides good extended coverage

This vehicle is stylish, with clean lines, is well appointed with many standard features: power windows, locks, steering, ABS brakes, Dual AirBags, Daytime Running Lamps, 16' Alloy Wheels and a relatively quiet 3.4 litre 24 valve V6, for a very reasonable price. I compared it against some foreign vehicles in the same class, and the Alero was, almost always, about $10 grand less. The 4 speed automatic is smooth.

    2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue - GLS

    Pros: self-locking doors

    Cons: don't know

Advice: make sure it fits in your garage

Don't even think of comparing this 2002 with older models. smooth, powerful engine is even better then it was. standard, free ON STAR in the GLS, plus every thing else. $2002 back from GM and if you have a GM credit card with cash back it's even a better deal

    2002 Oldsmobile Aurora - 3.5

    Pros: Information Center

Cons: Cup holder on console tilts back - it should 'lock' in. This could cause spills.

Advice: Get the 4.0L engine - the 3.5 is a little underpowered.

Very smooth ride, yet pretty firm for a family car.

    2002 Oldsmobile Alero - GL1 Sedan

    Pros: Smooth ride and handling

    Cons: Emergency brake location

Advice: The Alero is based on the exact suspension as the Grand Am, but the Alero's features are what sets them apart

The most exciting and exhilerating rides I've ever experienced in a car. The handling on the Alero blew away the competition. I've spent the last 3 months looking at Alero's, Grand Am's, and Malibu's. The Alero, by far, beat them all to the line. I've purchased my new Alero and couldn't be more satisfied.

2002 Oldsmobile Alero - GLS Sedan

Pros: All the AUTO Stuff - door locks - lights

    Cons: No arm rest

Advice: After approx 1 month of driving - I luv it.

For me this works ... small, comfortable and easy to drive. Handles nice.
