2003 Oldsmobile Alero - GL1 Coupe
Pros: The dynamic styling and the way it handles.
Cons: Entry into the back seat on the coupe.
Advice: Its worth the investment !Actually, I own a 1999 Alero GL coupe with a V6 3.4 engine. I Love it! I'm thinking about trading it in for a new one but I hate to give this one up!
2002 Oldsmobile Alero - GLS Coupe
Pros: The GLS supreme sound system is one of the best stock stereos I have ever heard
Cons: Dependability. When you buy a new car you need to know it won't break on you with only 4,000 miles
Advice: This car is a good car for a younger group. Not so good for people who haul a bunch of things in their carI've had 4 cars in my short driving career. One was a 1980 Thunderbird, one was a 1994 Cutlass Supreme, one was a 1996 Grand Am GT, and finally I bought this Brand New Alero GLS coupe with all the bells and whistles. I bought this car in April of 2002 and so far it's been in the shop for a total of 2 1/2 weeks, for power steering. Other than that it has been an excellent car. Four people took it on a 10 hour road trip, and it was surprisingly comfortable. If you fold down the back seat you can make sort-of bed and it is really a nice quiet car, and fun to drive.
2002 Oldsmobile Alero - GLS Sedan
Pros: on/off automatic headlights
Cons: rear seats dont stay in place.
Advice: Cant go wrong with this car..!!A great car for anyone in the market for a nice midsize sedan or coupe. Comfortable interior, easy to use ergonomics, and good visability. Powertrain is excellent especially the V6, ample power and super quiet operation throughout powerband. Just a great car and a great value for anyone in the market for a good car.
2002 Oldsmobile Alero - GL1 Sedan
Cons: Interior room is on the small side, but not bad.
Advice: Try to find a better value for what you get.The 2.2L is peppy, handling is great. I love the look of the car, especially the interior. It feels like a luxury car although I paid only 17150 after discount and 2750 in rebates! But, it also has the looks and feel os a sports car. Awesome (upgrade) sterio system! Tons of really nice standard features that I couldn't find on the competitors vehicles.
2002 Oldsmobile Aurora - 3.5
Cons: NOISY ENGINE AND HARD RIDING
Advice: DRIVE A TOYOTA AVALON AND ACURA T-L TO COMPARETHIS CAR IS NOTHING LIKE THE BROCHURE STATES. I THOUGHT I WAS BUYING A MID SIZED LUXURY CAR AND WHAT I HAVE IS A CAR WITH EXCESSIVE ENGINE NOISE, VERY HARD RIDING ( SIMULAR TO A PICKUP TRUCK ) AND EXCESSIVE WIND NOISE WHEN DRIVING OVER 60 MPH. WHEN COMPARED TO CARS IN THIS PRICE RANGE , AVALON, ACURA T-L LINCOLN LS , INFINITY I-35 MAXIMA ECT. THIS CAR IS NO WHERE NEAR AS GOOD. THE INTERIOR IS PUT TOGETHER CHEAPLY, RATTLES, LOOSE PARTS AND VIBRATIONS ARE PRESENT IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT.
2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue - GLS
Cons: can't think of anything
Advice: heated seats are the way to go.I love the feel of this car!!! The Intrigue has so much room and more than enough power for anything I plan on doing with it. I am glad that ours has a spoiler on it, otherwise it may be hard to see exactly where the end of the trunk is.
2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue - GLS
Pros: Power driver seat with memory feature.
Cons: Transmission downshifts trying to maintain speed. Noisy.
Advice: This is an underpowered vehicle. The transmission and engine works overtime.Other reviewers, including professionals, fail to mention that this vehicle is underpowered. They say it has adequate power. Don't believe it! The 3.4 engine just doesn't get it. There is a continual downshifting and upshifting annoyance when driving on the slightest uphill grades, even on interstates. That translates into transmission and engine overwork and noise, bigtime. Most other aspects of this vehicle are highly commendable, both interior and exterior.
