    2002 Oldsmobile Alero - GL1 Sedan

    Pros: Everything

Cons: Interior room is on the small side, but not bad.

Advice: Try to find a better value for what you get.

The 2.2L is peppy, handling is great. I love the look of the car, especially the interior. It feels like a luxury car although I paid only 17150 after discount and 2750 in rebates! But, it also has the looks and feel os a sports car. Awesome (upgrade) sterio system! Tons of really nice standard features that I couldn't find on the competitors vehicles.

    2002 Oldsmobile Aurora - 3.5

    Pros: LOOKS

Cons: NOISY ENGINE AND HARD RIDING

Advice: DRIVE A TOYOTA AVALON AND ACURA T-L TO COMPARE

THIS CAR IS NOTHING LIKE THE BROCHURE STATES. I THOUGHT I WAS BUYING A MID SIZED LUXURY CAR AND WHAT I HAVE IS A CAR WITH EXCESSIVE ENGINE NOISE, VERY HARD RIDING ( SIMULAR TO A PICKUP TRUCK ) AND EXCESSIVE WIND NOISE WHEN DRIVING OVER 60 MPH. WHEN COMPARED TO CARS IN THIS PRICE RANGE , AVALON, ACURA T-L LINCOLN LS , INFINITY I-35 MAXIMA ECT. THIS CAR IS NO WHERE NEAR AS GOOD. THE INTERIOR IS PUT TOGETHER CHEAPLY, RATTLES, LOOSE PARTS AND VIBRATIONS ARE PRESENT IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT.

    2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue - GLS

    Pros: Everyting!!!!

    Cons: can't think of anything

Advice: heated seats are the way to go.

I love the feel of this car!!! The Intrigue has so much room and more than enough power for anything I plan on doing with it. I am glad that ours has a spoiler on it, otherwise it may be hard to see exactly where the end of the trunk is.

    2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue - GLS

Pros: Power driver seat with memory feature.

Cons: Transmission downshifts trying to maintain speed. Noisy.

Advice: This is an underpowered vehicle. The transmission and engine works overtime.

Other reviewers, including professionals, fail to mention that this vehicle is underpowered. They say it has adequate power. Don't believe it! The 3.4 engine just doesn't get it. There is a continual downshifting and upshifting annoyance when driving on the slightest uphill grades, even on interstates. That translates into transmission and engine overwork and noise, bigtime. Most other aspects of this vehicle are highly commendable, both interior and exterior.

    2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue - GLS

    Pros: seats

Cons: can't use my favorite coffee cups- too big around

Advice: don't test drive unless you plan to buy

The seats on the GLS sold us. Much more comfortable than the competition. Engine is very responsive any really gets up and goes. I had really planned to buy a Honda Accord but this car has it all over the Accord. I've only put about 1100 miles on it but very impressed.

    2002 Oldsmobile Bravada - AWD

Pros: separate heated seat and back

Cons: no mute button for the radio on the steering column, I had that on my Grand Prix and I miss that feature

Advice: Make sure the seat belt situation is something you are happy with

It's fun to drive! It's very comfortable, sporty yet elegant. I am very pleased with my choice. The Bose stereo sounds great. The only problem I've experienced is that the passenger side seat belt locks up as soon as it's fastened, you can't even reach the glove box or radio. I've contacted Olds and they tell me this is normal operation, if so, I am not at all pleased. Seat belts are not supposed to lock up that tightly unless there is a sudden stop. Other than that, I say 'go for it!'

2002 Oldsmobile Alero - GLS Coupe

Pros: Performance Package with all season hi speed performance radial tires

Cons: Some wind noise comes through - could be a little more quiet

Advice: Good price; 5yr /60,000 provides good extended coverage

This vehicle is stylish, with clean lines, is well appointed with many standard features: power windows, locks, steering, ABS brakes, Dual AirBags, Daytime Running Lamps, 16' Alloy Wheels and a relatively quiet 3.4 litre 24 valve V6, for a very reasonable price. I compared it against some foreign vehicles in the same class, and the Alero was, almost always, about $10 grand less. The 4 speed automatic is smooth.
