    2001 Mercury Cougar

    I love my little car

Pros: I like that when the wind blows my car doesnt slide al over the road

Cons: I got my car used and it needs some small repairs

MPG is 35 average It gets me any where I want to go The Kid seats fit well when I have my grandkids, it can seat 4 adults - but put the taller ones in the front. The seat folds down in the back for moving big stuff and shopping at costco.

    2002 Mercury Cougar - V6 Base (200A)

    Pros: The very sport body

Cons: The rear seats, they we're not very spacious.

Advice: Buy it's worth the money, it handles like a dream

It was great, it handled excellent. The shifting in the 5-gear, was very precise, giving the car more speed and acceleration. Their was plenty of room in the front seats, and every control was at a comfortable reach.

    2002 Mercury Cougar - V6 Sport Ultimate (230A)

    Pros: 6 CD CHANGER

Cons: Not being able to unlock the hatch unless the car is shut off

Advice: Buy, it's worth the money

This is the third Cougar I have purchased, previously had a 1993 and 1996. This is much smaller but sporty.

    2002 Mercury Cougar - V6 Sport (210A)

Pros: Fast and Fun to Drive!

Cons: Driver's seat is not comfortable for larger people.

Advice: Get the 6 disc CD Changer.

The cougar accelerates and handles beautifully. The $3,000 rebate makes it a bargain relative to cars in it's class. There is also so much standard equipment that you expect to pay extra for. As long as you don't have to sit in the back seat, it's a great car.

    2002 Mercury Cougar - V6 Base (200A)

Pros: power seat, quick engine, excellent price

Cons: its red and it looks fast and it is fast. COP-MAGNET!!

Advice: Make the dealer fix the trunk latch(they never work on cougars)before you buy, and hold your coffee when you take a curve fast. It will spill all over your brand new white skirt.

I bought this car 2 months ago. I had fallen in love the day I first saw their new body style. It took almost 4 years, but I finally own one. Its fast. I beat my sister's 2001 mustang v-6 with my 1999 Cougar v-6. It's a beautiful car, more interesting looking than a mustang, with nicer interior, faster, and not everywhere. I see about a million mustangs a day, maybe a cougar every week or so. It's cupholders suck, but thats a minor detail. Just make sure to keep one hand on your coffee when you take a tight curve.

    2002 Mercury Cougar - V6 Sport (210A)

Pros: The complements I get from other people!

Cons: I'd love this car with enough h.p. to burn rubber!

Advice: Go to the dealer mid-week at the end of the month, on a rainy day.

The look of the car is what 1st caught my eye. Then the dealer opened the hatch, folded down the rear seats & I flipped out on how much room there is in the back. Took it for a test drive & fell in love. My car had a few extras, but I've looked at many cars & none gave you as much for the price; none. A comparable Jap car will cost 3-4 thousand more. The mileage is so good I thought the gas gauge was broken at first. Get one while you still can, but the way Ford operates, I'd bet real dough the car will be back in 3-5 years.
