Pros: Heated Front Windshield & Heated Side Mirrors
Cons: Gas Tank has to be opened w/ your key and there's no despository hold for the gas cap.
Advice: Take it out for a drive & you'll fall in love.Amazing. I was actually set to buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (for 4 years) but test drove the Freelander & was hooked! Very nice SUV and much more distinctive than all the others in it's class!
Pros: The Bose Audio System
Cons: Front cupholders only hold small cans or water bottles
Advice: Go for the Touring package and sunroof visorThe MDX drives like a touring sedan. Firm and responsive steering with lots of power. You sit up high for a good view of the road. The leather seats are very comfortable and are easily adjusted. The 3.5 V-6 has as much pick up as the 5.4 V-8 I had in my Ford F-150. The perfect match of comfort and usefulness in one great looking package.
Pros: I loved how the controls for everything were located in the center.
Cons: I wish the back seat had just a little more space.
Advice: If gas is not a concern you will not find a better truck for the price!I was very impressed with how smooth the truck drove compared to others I test drove. I loved the dual sunroofs and thought the stadium seating was really cool for rear passengers.
Pros: Stable driving, smooth moving.
Cons: fuel consumption. It requires 87 octane grade gasoline.
Advice: Overall, it is excellent. Definately I recommend this car.It runs smoothly. I hear very gentle engine sound when it is accelerated. Handling is not as smooth as other sedan. However, rear seat space is very roomy and the appearance also looks good. Overall, except fuel efficency, i am satisfied with this car.
Pros: Solid feel of the vehicle.
Cons: Inability to adjust driver seat height.
Advice: The S may need some additional upgrades so the SE is your best value.Don't let the small size fool you, this vehicle is ALL Land Rover. Extremely solid feel on or off-road (the vehicle weighs about 4500 pounds--about 1500 pounds more than the base model Ford Escape) yet it is nimble and responsive and its smaller size is perfect for driving in the city. The driver's sight lines and visibility are superb. The well-designed interior (with the exception of no armrest between the driver and passenger seats) and the 60-40 split of the rear seats allows for plenty of room for passengers, cargo and storage. In my opinion, Land Rover has wiped out the competition in the small SUV market with the Freelander.
Pros: Comfort, security and safety
Cons: fuel ecomomy
Advice: Test drive one, you won't believe how nice it rides and the dealer (Greenboro NC) was the nicest I've ever dealt withThis is the best vehicle I have ever driven. It sits up high giving you a commanding view. It feels safe and performs fantastic in the snow.
Pros: body integrity
Cons: no arm rest
Advice: get the sunroof; it's worth itI am totally smitten with this car. I drove the same car for almost 12 years before I purchased my ''lander.' Don't be put off by the price; this vehicle is an excellent value. The add-ons with the SE and HSE models are merely upgrades to an already generous package. I bought the SE, and I do believe that is the best value (the sunroof with the slat-shade is great) of the choices. This car is small but it drives big. One can drive an SUV with a relatively clean conscience and still get the big-ass feel of one of the Breadmobiles.
