2003 Land Rover Discovery - SE

    Pros: Flexibility

    Cons: Nothing

    Advice: Get one!

I love this SUV. I looked for eight months for a new vehicle that would suit my needs, both mountain and city, luxury and dog car......The customer service from the sales staff and the service department is absolutely the best.

2003 Land Rover Discovery - HSE

Pros: The engine is powerfull and much faster than before

Cons: good year tires not up to the challenge

Advice: If you are looking for power and a head turner this is your truck if not buy any other fake on the market.

The new Land Rover Discovery HSE is great in off road conditions and on the road the handling is goog much better than previous models, the accelaration is much better too, how ever keep your eyes close to the gas gage, because everytime you step om the gas you will see the needle go down. The sits are comfortable and the high position of it, gives you a feeling of power, the radio is excellent and navational system is ok, the small screen is kind of hard to see. Overall this a great truck not a suv, you will not be disappointed.

2003 Land Rover Discovery - SE

Pros: The visibility from the driver's seat.

Cons: The gas mileage compared the my last car (Saturn L1 - 24 mpg).

    Advice: Enjoy

The Discovery handles well in traffic and is well behaved in a moderate crosswind while on the interstate. It has power to merge into the interstate traffic from a short entrance ramp and handles well on the turns. The seats are very comfortable and the head/leg room is more than generous.

2003 Land Rover Discovery - SE

    Pros: interior appointments, high-profile, handling!

    Cons: back door access

Advice: you'll love it if you ever go ANYWHERE!

the new 2003 discovery is more refined than previous (have a 1996 disco) with better handling, better brakes, suspension and a faster engine. off-road my 1996 is incredible and this one has the bumper in front changed a bit with the bi-xenon headlights so there's even a bit more clearence. i love it!

2003 Land Rover Discovery - SE

    Pros: The new headlights

    Cons: The price

Advice: The SE version has the best options which are needed

Awesome handling and performance. Makes you really feel powerful and always in control. Built tough enough to transport my 3 kids. The rear seats are really fun and enables 7 passangers. Every drive is an incredible adventure! Wheres the closest jungle to NJ besides our favorite urban jungle in NYC??? Roarrrr!!!

2003 Land Rover Discovery - SE

Pros: The permanent 4WD. Go anywhere, anytime.

Cons: Gas mileage and noisy features you'd expect in cheaper vehicles.

Advice: People buy this car because they want a Land Rover. You can find more bells and whistles in cheaper 4X4s.

Since the Discovery was first introduced, I've always wanted one. In July, I purchased an '03 Disco SE7. Let's just say you're not buying the vehicle for its luxury features. It sounds like a truck, drives like a truck, and feels like a truck on the road. The new engine is powerful, but when starting on a cold morning, you hear valves and rods knock until the oil warms. The new 6 CD changer is quirky, often not recognizing any of the CDs in the system. However, the upgraded audio system has an impressive sound. I've also experienced a strange, loud whirring noise from the engine/accelerator at around 70 mph. Land Rover has checked, repaired, but it's still there. It doesn't hamper performance, so I've accepted it (for now) as the price of owning a Land Rover. Bottom line, it's a Land Rover. If you want luxurious comfort, buy a BMW or Lexus. If you want a quiet, fancy 4X4, buy a Toyota Land Cruiser or the SUVs from Mercedes or BMW. However, there are those of us who just want a Land Rover -- quirks and all.

2002 Land Rover Discovery - SE

Pros: So far, I love the handling, the twin sunroofs, & the 6-disc CD changer. I'm sure I'm gonna love the off-road handling!

Cons: Limited entry-way to back seat.

Advice: It's gonna cost you, but you will NOT be disappointed! By adding in all the options you want at purchase, they can be covered by the factory warranty.

Smooth & quiet! That was my first impression when I drove this vehicle. I was looking for a vehicle with 3rd row seats that did not look like a minivan. I needed something that could safely carry my family but that was rugged enough to carry my kayak & bikes. I bought a Silver Discovery SE7 with the Lightstone leather. I had to have the stainless steel running boards & SS A-frame with IFP's. I've had a lot of compliments in the past week of ownership. I feel safe when I drive it. My 1-year old loves looking out the large windows. The standard features list is excellent. As nice as it looks I still plan to take it off-roading... after all isn't that what owning a Landrover is really all about!
