    2002 Kia Sedona - LX

Pros: Sound system, exterior and interior designs, sharp head light design, & comfort

Cons: Quality of windshield - stress fracture. They should recall this! Many compartments can be a plus but they're so small it adds little to no value. AC button - the light is so dim I can't tell if I have the AC on or not.

Advice: Ask what they will do if the windshield breaks before signing.

I agree with most folks that it has a smooth ride. But I thought the acceleration could have more of a kick. I can choose to give it extra gas but I hate to drain more gas than it already does. Having owned subcompacts all my life, I really noticed the difference of 15 city & 20 fwy fuel mileage. As much as I like the car, it really is a gas guzzer, which I'm not too fond of.

    2002 Kia Sportage - (M5) 4x4 4dr

    Pros: Price

    Cons: reliability

Advice: Don't be so gullible to half-truth commercials

My sister bought this heap last year. Every time a Kia advert comes on the t.v., comparing these bargain-basement vehicles to Hondas, I have to laugh. My sister, and apparently too many others, have to learn the hard way that 'you get what you pay for'. remember Lada? They sold like hotcakes for years because people somehow think a low-quality new car is better than a high-quality used. My sister is considering returning the car as per the new 'Lemon Law'.

    2002 Kia Sedona - EX

Pros: warranty, quadruple 5 star safety

Cons: lacks some cargo room, seats in back are confusing as how to flip up and remove

Advice: Go to the lot, look in the window, say 'wow', then look at the sticker on the window, then look back in the window to see if your eyes were misleading you

Low road noise, quiet engine. No shifting in and out of 4th and 5th gear with minor adjustments in road speed, which initially I was concerned about with the the only 5 speed automatic trans in the class. Could only afford used until we found the sedona. quadruple 5 star safety. Kids like the sun roof. Sound system in the EX is better than the the upgrades in most the other vans I drove. I am 6'5' and sat in the back seat and had plenty of room. it was very comfortable. my friend is 6'4' and said it would be his second choice to shotgun, But don't plan on grocery shopping with us in there because with the seat all the way back and leaned back you won't fit much in the cargo area. But it is nice to know that seven people will be riding in comfort and luxury if just going out on the town. No rebates currently, but got into the van at 400 over invoice. Test drove, bought the van in less than two hours after shopping for months. Nervous about it being a new model, but 5yr/60000, 10yr/100000 makes me feel better. 5000-8000 less than similarly equipped (all others).

    2002 Kia Spectra - Base (M5) Sedan

    Pros: mileage

    Cons: music system

Advice: check consumer reports if you really want the skinny. This car is rated as good as a Honda

I am saddened by the reviews I've read already on this car; I have a 2001 Sephia that I've NEVER had any troubles with!! I've driven this thing into the dirt, too! less than one year old, and already 31,000 miles on it! No maintenance except for basics like oil change. I don't understand why these other people had troubles. Not a one from this beauty. Definitely would recommend it to a friend

    2002 Kia Spectra - GS (M5) Liftback

    Pros: The Hatch-Back.

    Cons: No Power-Locks.

Advice: Make sure you research other vechiles to see the deal you get with this car.

This car rides so smooth! It has virutally no road noise on or off the interstate! It could possibly use some more horse power, but other than that there is absolutely nothing to keep some one from buying this car. It comes with a great warranty. It has great gas mileage. I can fill my car up and not ahave to stop for gas for at least a week and a half! It has a nice sporty look, but has enough room for a four member family! The hatch back gives you even more room for storage or luggage!

    2002 Kia Rio - (M5) Wagon

    Pros: Comfort, price and drivability.

Cons: The gas mileage could be a little better for a small 4 cylinder engine.

Advice: Have the dealer install after market cruise as a condition of purchasing the vehicle like I did!!!!

I REALLY LOVE my Rio Cinco. It is very INEXPENSIVE yet the quality does NOT suffer one bit. I bought my Cinco for $12,000 (cruise too!!) and it is FULLY loaded!! No other car w/similar options could even come close to that!! The 5 door Cinco is very easy to drive and cart things around in. It is very quiet & has extremely COMFORTABLE seats along with an adjustable lumbar support. I am 6' 2' tall and have more head room in my Cinco than in my girlfriend's Lexus RX300 SUV!! This is a WONDERFUL car. :)
