Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: Driver's seat and outside mirror's memory.
Cons: Instrument panel is recessed and dark during daylight hours. Needs to be lit up so that it can be seen better.
Advice: Buy this car now. The low price and quality is great.Comfortable and has a smooth heavy car ride. Handle's much better than I anticipated and has plenty of pep. Great on trips. It comes fully loaded with only two options for the XG350L model. Those options are mud flaps for the rear wheels, and a 8 disc CD changer.
Pros: Tilt down mirrors, sound system, wood grain, and ride.
Cons: Would be nice to have a average milage readout.
Advice: Just check this car outI love this car. The ride is smooth, with very little road noise. Seats are comfortable, both front and back. Plenty of trunk space(I keep my golf clubs and cart in the trunk and there is still room for other items. Lots of pep on the freeways for passing. Most people have no idea what this car is until they see the name on the back and then they are surprised! Styling is in tune with other cars in it's class. The stereo is very nice. I put some 18 inch wheels with nice chrome rims, it changed the whole look of the car. The ultimate test came from my 26 year old son. When I told him I was buying a Hyundai XG350L he told me to buy something else. Low and behold, when he came home and saw the car he was in total amazement. he fell in love with it, so much he try to convience me to let him take it back to Colorado with him. Guess what, he went back to Colorado the same way he came home to San Diego, on the plane!!!! Great car for the money. Before you buy anything else, do yourself a big favor and check out the XG350L!!!!!!!
Pros: Stock leather
Cons: The seats are a little firm; but this could be resolved with normal riding.
Advice: Ask about extending your warranty too.Nice car for a great price. I have had no problems.
Pros: heated seats & back arm rest
Advice: great incentives, best price for the money.approx. 220 lbs of tq. wow. yes we can transfer music to the back, and the fake wood looks & feels real, well crafted. Runs very well. Excellent aircraft!
Pros: Memory seats, moonroof, Infinity stereo w/cassette+CD, fold down back seat, performance
Cons: The wheels. It needs wire wheels to make it the class act it is.
Advice: Buy it.We love this car. It has style that the others are lacking. It came fully loaded including electric moonroof, heated leather seats with memory feature,5speed automatic overdrive, fold down rear seat, rear AC vents,Infinity stereo system With cassette and CD,the home system that you can program to open your garage door or gate or home lights, and much more. One of the other reviews says you cant get music in the back seat. He's wrong. You pull out on the treble button to adjust fron/rear fader. The 3.5 engine performs well. Lots of pep. We traded a 2001 Olds Aurora. We like the XG350L much better. The thing I really like is the styling. So many cars today look alike. This looks totaly unique. We plan on adding wire wheels to make it look like the class act that it is. We highly reccomend this car. The car seems to be well built. As far as durability, with a 10 year drivetrain warranty, how can you go wrong. Much lower price than Honda or Toyota.
Pros: Loaded Standard Features
Cons: In the shop more than 40 days of first 120 days of ownership.
Advice: Go for a carmaker with a reputation at stake, like Honda or Toyota. The Test Drive was great. But beware of buying a car just because of the Test Drive. I had my vehicle in the shop for warranty work for more than 1.5 months during the first four months of ownership. I have had it in several other times between then and now. Hyundai will NOT work with you if you have a Lemon. Be ready to fight it in court or live with a car which is in the shop every 2-3 months. I'm not exagerrating. Perhaps other carmakers sell a lemon now and then, but I can guarantee you Hyundai will fight you tooth and nail if you buy one from them. Go for a carmaker with a reputation at stake, like Honda or Toyota.
Pros: Infinity stereo and all the fake wood trim/leather seats.
Cons: grille is boring, and dash cluster is dated.
Advice: BUY it ...you cant beat it for the money!Awesome features in this fine car. I traded my 2002 Sonata LX w/ 29K miles on it for the XG350L. What the Sonata was lacking, the XG has...such as power passenger seat, better interior lighting, and MUCH better stereo quality. It feels heavier but drives very smothly, and has more power. I really like the frameless doors...(easy to clean the windows) and the heated seats are awesome!! I am averaging 20 mph around town and the Sonata averaged 21 or so...so, it is worth it. The XG350L uses regular unleaded and has a larger fuel tank...so, I can go a week or more between fill-ups. It is a joy to drive and the warranty can't be beat! Hyundai is a great car!
