    2004 Hyundai XG350 - L

Pros: Downward rotating mirrors when car is in reverse

Cons: No audio controls on the steering wheel

    Advice: Try it

Smooth, quiet, good acceleration. Stylish inside and out. A good value compared to the competition. This car has a good, solid feel to it, and all the bells and whistles. People have a hard time believing it is a Hyundai. We almost bought a Sonata, but after test driving the XG-350, it was no contest.

    2003 Hyundai XG350 - Base

    Pros: automatic headlights

    Cons: Car doesn't run.

    Advice: Don't do it.

I have owned 14 cars in my life and this is the worst car I ever bought. The air conditioner did not work 2 summers in a row. I brought it in to be fixed time after time and after 2 years of no air they finally fixed it. The worst part is that the car is a danger on the road. Since I bought it it lurches forward when I stop at a traffic light or stop sign. It feels like I am being rear-ended. Then when I step on the gas the car lurches back and forth and will not go faster than 15 mph. Each time I bring it in they tell me that the cannot replicate the problem so they can't fix it. Of course the problem was replicated with one technician but they still did not fix the problem. The worst time was when I stopped to pay a toll on the highway and the car lurched back and forth in traffic. This has been going on for years. The answer from Hyundai headquarters in San Francisco is basically 'too bad'. The first time they told me to give the dealership another chance. This was after 2 years of 'trying'. The last call was ignored. This car is a danger on the road! Buy anything but this lemon. Of course they stopped making it. No wonder!

    2005 Hyundai XG350 - Base

Pros: Car is loaded. Interior is quality

    Cons: Glove compartment is small

Advice: Shop around and compare. Hyundai is by far the best price and quality

Test drove a lot of cars, went through stickershock with most of them. Narrowed down selection to Maxima (too pricey and overated), looked at Avalon and Camry, likewise. The warranty, style and price is the closer. Handles nicely on open road and city driving, style of interior and exterior is exceptional. Hyundai has come a long way since it was first introduced in the USA. This will be my third Hyundai, nothing to report but dependability on all ! The Rebates are great, particularly the additional $1,000 Owner Loyalty Rebate, which makes the pricing even Better.
