Pros: everything...I honestly have yet to find a flaw
Cons: the only thing that gets me is that the front doors don't open from the inside when locked...i was used to that in my old car
Advice: go into the dealer with high expectations and they'll be metI got the car about 3 weeks ago and I am in love with it. Everyone says I have a 'new love in my life'. Great gas mileage, fun to drive! I'm eagerly awaiting hotter summer weather so I can roll the windows down, open the moonroof, turn up the music and cruise. Can't beat the warranty, am paying less for a brand new car than I did on my old used piece of junk! Can't say enough...great car.
Cons: Fuel computer doesn't show instantaneous mileage.
Advice: Ignore competitors' disparaging remarks; drive it and decide for yourself. We tested comparable Hondas, Toyotas, and a few Detroit cars. None compared with the perceived value, warranty, and driving experience. Seats aren't as comfy as my truck, but are better than other foreign cars. It's not a sports car, but brings back the feeling of 'motoring' -- it's a stylish, comfortable, dignified platform for getting from A to B. Felt noticeably smoother and quieter than others tested. Other XG owners stop and talk -- reminds me of the MG cameraderie of the 50s. Now have 7K miles since 12/2001 with zero problems.
Pros: The appearance and cargo space
Cons: Engine size is a factor, however its not an off road vehicle, how often does the average person in an SUV find it necessary to pump through 220hp?
Advice: Drive it, price it an don't be fooled by Ford's over priced vehiclesThis vehicle sums up what the average SUV driver practically needs, lots of space, an amazing appearance and, unbelievable warranty (and price) the list goes on and on, oh ya plus its not a mini-van!!!!!!!!!
Cons: getting into the back seat
Advice: buy it.I love the feel behind the wheel. It has a smooth ride and it is responsive.
Pros: THE LOOKS
Cons: More power for the 4 cylinder.
Advice: If you can afford it buy the V6!!!Hi, I bought the 4 cylinder stick-tib(because thats the one I could afford!) This car LOOKS GREAT and it runs pretty good too. I test drove the v6 and it does have power. The car is great for the price! If your a small person it will be a better fit. The inside is small but comfortable.
Pros: Too many to name....like how comfy the seats are
Cons: not all the lights are the same color. Dash are purple, clock & stereo green
Advice: I would definately buy this car. It would also make a good first car.I really wanted the Santa Fe because I love trucks (have owened 2), but wanted the convience of a car (seats more than2, trunk, etc). My first car was a Saturn SL. I didn't really like it...sat too low, very small, stroller barely fit in the trunk and the carrier car seat did not fit properly in the back set. I was at the dealer looking around at the Santa Fe's when I saw the Elantra GT and really liked the way it looked (and I don't like hatchbacks). I left that day, thinking about it. The choice came down to a used 2000 Camary, Oldsmobile Alero & the GT. I bought the GT and love it. I love how quick it is, how fun looks, the leg room (even in the back seat), the trunk room. Just about everything about it. I get a lot of compliements too. People are always asking me about my car. I have yet to see another one on the road in the San Frnacisco Bay Area, which is a rareity. I bought my car in August and am still really happy with it. I recommend this car to anyone. It's sporty and practical.
Cons: low wing
Advice: make sure you check the paint as well.I bought a 2003 tib gt v6 and have had only one issue with the seat not locking all the time on the passanger side. I am hoping this is not normal for this type of car. But otherwise the car handles the road extremely well and gives me enough power.
