    2002 Hyundai Accent - GS (M5) Hatchback

Pros: Would have to say the seats.

Cons: Little more trunk room would be nice.

Advice: Not a good car is you have a big family.

My fiance and I bought this car together, and everyone knows that it is hard when you start out. But this car has not hurt our budget and along the way is very dependable. It is great on gas...and we travel a lot! We got all the extras and we didn't spend over $14,000! Now that is great!

    2002 Hyundai Accent - L (M5) Hatchback

Pros: Nice sounding am/fm cassette deck.

Cons: No clock on radio; feeble sounding horn.

Advice: Shop around for dealer discount w/factory rebate.

I give an excellant rating to this car AS A BASIC TRANSPORTATION VEHICLE. It reminds me alot of the new VW Beetles I bought in 1962 & 1968 as the best I could get for the $2500 I could afford. This year my limit was $7000. For several hundred $ less, I have a peppy, comfortable, economical 3-door hatchback with an incredible warrantee; just the vehicle for a single, 6'3' man. Still breaking in the engine, I'm averaging just over 30 mpg in city (Los Angeles) driving. The easy shifting 5-speed is well geared to the 91hp 4-cylinder 12valve engine, and I merge quite nimbly into traffic flow; much more safely than I did with the VW's.

    2002 Hyundai Accent - L (M5) Hatchback

    Pros: reliability

Cons: feels cheap and possibly less safe as some others in its class.

Advice: Just getting to and from places at a low cost buy the car.

98 thousand miles not a single problem except for a master slave clutch cylender covered under warrenty. I've abused this car and it has not sought retrobution. I've only change dthe oil 5 times and replaced the front brak pads once. The car still seems to be going strong. For the price it cant be beat. Going up hills it passes the Hondas and other subcompacts. It may be the fuel injection. It revs out with noise at about 80mph but can go to 90 or 95 without a problm for short periods. For the price and reliability and function of getting from point a to b its a great car.
