Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: My Favorite feature is the cup holders located under the A/C controls.
Cons: I liked the styling and the Vehicle was very Zippy.
Advice: This is a very good car for someone on a budget, but also wants to have a brand new car. When I arrived at the Hyundai dealership in Austin, Texas I was surprised to see that there were lots of people looking at the differant cars that Hyundai had to offer. I liked the way the 2005 Accent looked especially the GT model. After a testdrive I decided to purchase the 2005 Hyundai Accent GT. That same day. When I drove it off the lot it only had 16 miles.
Cons: Head room
Advice: Buy this car if you are looking for a car with some performance in a compact/economical vehicleI purchased this vehicle just recently. I have found it to be a peppy little car even though it has a small engine. The engine and road noise could have been reduced a bit, but it's not too bad. I am 5'11 and it is a little bit of a squeeze for me to get in and out but not too compromising. I compared this car with the Kia Rio, Toyota Echo and a Honda Civic. As far as cost goes, the Accent was my first choice as I was looking for a good economical car and somewhat inexpensive. Overall I would suggest this car to someone looking for a nice compact car on a budget.
Pros: Comfortable and low gas consumption
Cons: The WHeels (tires and rims) sould of made it a little bigger
Advice: go tell the dealer stright up the price and option you want for the car. be aggressiveThe Car is great and thats that. I went home with a smile on my face when i got my accent. it gets to where i want to go and I plan to add lots of neon inside and and othe acceories like spoiler and moon roof. People say im wasting my money if i do that but i think they depend to much on what other thinks. I love this car and i got it with my own money. But in the end it comes down to what you want to do with your car. personaly 4 door sedan looks better then 3 door one.
Pros: Easy and fun to drive
Cons: I wish the mpg was a little better.
Advice: I shot them a price way under MSRP, and they bit.Buy it you won't regret it. Great warranty and all around good car.
Pros: We like the warranty and gas mileage.
Cons: There is a lack of leg room.
Advice: It is a nice car but I'd buy the Elantra is you can afford an extra $1000.00.It is a Hyundai so you know you have an excellent warranty. It is a small car andf gets great gas mileage. We thought the ride was pretty standard for a small. There is lots of road noise. It also lacks power. We like the looks of the little car. The offer was $9990 for the basic package so it is inexpensive. The main problem, there is absolutely no room in the back seat for someone's legs. We are a family that needs some room.
Pros: My favorite feature is the way the Accent handles corners.
Cons: The Accent seems a bit whiny at higher speeds on the freeway; like it needs a 6th gear, almost.
Advice: Buy it! Great car for the money and has a great warrantee.I love this car. It handles so much better than I was expecting and really zips around corners. Parking this car is VERY easy; it practically parks itself. Plenty of power for getting on the freeway quickly or climbing steep grades. It also has very good visibility.
Pros: The size!! So easy to get a round in!!
Cons: 1.5 L engine
Advice: It's great!!! I would buy another one in a heart beat!!I bought my 2002 accent new , well it only had 900 kms on it. It was my first car , as being young and not having a lot of money the price was perfect. To be honest at first I hated my accent. I guess i had my mind set on something more sporty. But after having it a yr I soon changed my mind. I was perfect for me , It was so cheap on gas, and was small enuf that it didn't feel like i was driving a boat , easy to park and drive in close quarters. lots of visability, the the space in the trunk was great. I didn't much care for the lack of a rearend though. I live in Canada and as we all know it can get quite cold up here, but I've seen it get down to - 45 and the car start with no problem at all it was really a car i could trust.
