    2002 Toyota Prius - Base

Pros: Smooth operation ie, shifting and braking

    Cons: small trunk space

Advice: Highly recommend this hybrid technology.

Fun to drive. Easy to park. 10000 miles=43.9mpg. Could use a larger trunk at times.

    2003 Honda Civic - Hybrid (M5) Sedan

    Pros: Silent stops.

Cons: The driver seat could be more comfortable.

Advice: Get it! You'll love it.

This car is great. I am so happy with the gas mileage (about 49/52). It is fun to drive with it's cool blue dials and complete, silent stops. I commute 70 miles round-trip a day, and I enjoy zipping in and out of traffic in this car. Living in the desert, I appreciate the cold, prompt air-conditioning. The only thing I would improve upon would be the driver seat...it seems a bit hard. Other than that, it's great.

    2003 Honda Civic - Hatchback

    Pros: Sunroof

    Cons: The phantom oil leak.

Advice: Dont buy one. The horsepower is not worth it.

I have owned this vehicle for 2200 miles. It is absolutly the worst car I have owned. I did test drive it for 28 miles. The car has leaked oil since the test drive. But of course the sales staff assured me it was a new ingine breaking in. Now the vehicle is still leaking oil, the engine is smoking after a highway run. This after the transmission and the clutch have been taken out and put back in. In short it has been in the shop for 5 days and goes back in tommorrow 12/31/02. The Honda mechanics are baffled. If I could sue a dealership I would do so. I of course purchased the warranty with this car but shouldnt have to deal with phantom oil leaks at 2200 miles.A real piece of junk from Honda thats why there are not many on the road.

    2003 Honda Civic - Hatchback

    Pros: seats, engine, gear shifter

    Cons: marginal waranty

    Advice: buy this car

I bought my new Si a couple of months ago but wanted to wait a while before I wrote the review. I now have 5,000 miles on it and love it more now than when I bought it. I considered the Gti and Mini Cooper at the time but Honda reliabilty won me over. The performance could be a little more but this is still very fast car and no worry of turbo or supercharger going out. I really love the looks and the tires don't seem small to me like some others I have heard. Plus the 15 inchers are pretty resonable when time to replace tires. Finally it has without a doubt the best seat(front and back) in its class. Headroom in the back is awesome, I can easily get four fullsize guys inside without a problem. This car is hot!!!

2003 Honda Civic - Hybrid (CVT) Sedan

    Pros: CVT Transmission

    Cons: nothing

Advice: Buy one. All cars should be available as hybrids.

I look forward to driving to work again. The auto-stop feature is cool, the CVT transmission is very smooth, the mileage is amazing and the quiet ride is relaxing. What a great way to conserve the Earth's resources for our kids with no sacrifice; this car is awesome. Hats off to Honda for the fantastic engineering. I hope this car will inspire many additonal hybrid vehicles.

    2003 Honda Civic - Hatchback

    Pros: Front bucket seats

Cons: wheels and tires too small

Advice: test drive it more than once

Fun to drive, will be funner when I get my additions done to it. Sometimes a little too eager to run, must watch the tach, it can quickly pass its low 6800 rpm redline in first and second without much effort. It has a love it or hate it appearance, i hated it at first but i grew on me and now i like its looks. Drives good, good suspension, transmission, great front buckets, shifter position takes some getting used to but is wonderful when you learn to use it. Good car.

    2003 Toyota Prius - Base

Pros: The visual display of engine motor usage

Cons: isn't anything I don't like about it

Advice: This type of car can really get the USA off foreign oil and it is fun to drive

I found the Prius to have extremely good handling characteristics and the seating (roomy) rivals the Mark VII I was driving. I love the instrument panel.
