Pros: front end apperance
Advice: do not purchase until they correct engine problemFeburary 14th,2002 marked the 62nd day that I owned the GMC Denali awd vehicle & for 19 of those days this vehicle has been in the dealers shop.!With repairs to Running Boards,Painting,Vibrations,Friont end noises, Replacement of bearings in front end AWD, Complete Replacement of front AWD unit( after blowing apart in my driveway/garage nice mess ) & Now a Engine Knock that GMC acknowledges is annoying but has no fix for but will extend the warranty to 5 years/100,000 miles ( sounds like a diesel) What a shane for such a previous great vehicle..!!!!
Pros: Seat warmers
Cons: The brakes don't last.
Advice: Get the 3 quarter ton.I have owned 3 suburbans since 1991. 2 Chev's and 1 GMC. 2 half tons and one 3 quarter ton. Definately go with the 3 quarter ton. But expect high maintenance cost. In ten years I would say my average cost is at least $200.00 per month on new brakes. Plan to replace the brakes every 3 to 4 months. My current Chev 2500 I have 51,000 miles on it and have replaced the pads 5 times front and rear. New rotors on the front at 27,000 miles and just had all new brakes all the way around including rear drums at 45,000 miles.
Pros: programable seats
Cons: not enough torque
Advice: buy oneIt is a very comfortable riding vehicle.
Pros: Leather Seat Heaters
Cons: No on board trip computer.
Advice: Get one!!!!I just bot the 3/4 Ton with the 8100 motor. Much moore power to pull my 9800 lb trailer, than in my two previous 3/4 454's. I bot all options but the sun roof. The best of my 3 subs.
Pros: The in-line 6 is awesome
Cons: poor quality
Advice: I echo the person that said wait a year (MT truck of the year or not)Purchased my Envoy in June and LOVE everything about it when it works properly. I have already visited the Dealer several times to repair a fluid leak (resulting from an improperly installed drive shaft), an inability to shift out of park, r. window wash that didn't work, console with a major squeak, and now my heat does not seem to work properly. This could be a phenominal vehicle - could you get the quality up PLEASE?
Advice: wait a year before you buy this onegood performance and ride for the first 600 miles then it was recalled I have been with out it for 10 days and GM can't tell me how long it will take to fix it
Pros: performance&easy to use controls
Cons: the recall
Advice: It's well worth the buyhandles well and has a very smooth ride
